ON THE ROAD, OFF THE ROAD

• Centralia police were called about 5:20 p.m. yesterday to South Pearl and Locust streets where a vehicle hit a pedestrian in a crosswalk and then drove away from the scene. A 17-year-old girl later contacted police and identified herself, according to the Centralia Police Department. A case is being referred to prosecutors for a charge of hit and run, according to police.

THEFT, THEFT, THEFT

• Centralia police were called to the 500 block of South King Street about 6:35 p.m. yesterday where an attempted burglary was reported. A window was broken out where the unknown suspect apparently tried to gain entry, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• Police were called about 5:05 p.m. yesterday to the 1100 block of Grand Avenue in Centralia where a skateboard, a bicycle and foot scooter had been stolen over the previous several nights.

• A battery operated leaf blower was reported stolen from the 1300 block of View Avenue at about 4:45 p.m. yesterday, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• Money was reported stolen by an unknown person from a locked container in the victim’s room at the 1300 block of Alexander Street in Centralia yesterday.

DRUGS

• Centralia police contacted a 40-year-old Olympia man about 8:40 p.m. yesterday at the 1200 block of Alder Street, for driving with a suspended license, they also allegedly found suspected drugs on him. Vince P. Perazzo was booked into the Lewis County Jail for possession of methamphetamine and referred for a charge of operating a motor vehicle without a required ignition interlock device, according to the Centralia Police Department.

SCAM CALL

• Chehalis police were called about 4:15 p.m. yesterday by an individual who said their mother told them of getting a call from someone who ended up taking all of her money out of her bank account in a case associated with the 1500 block of North National Avenue. An officer gave advice on how to get legal help, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

THEFT

• Chehalis police were called to the 800 block of South Market Boulevard about 4:25 p.m. yesterday to take a report of the theft of three tubs from a laundry business which were marked “not for customer use.” Police are investigating, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

DRUGS

• Chehalis police were called to the 100 block of Northeast Hampe Way about 3 p.m. yesterday when suspected methamphetamine was allegedly found on a 29-year-old Vader man being taken into custody at the state Department of Corrections office. Patrick M. Gish was booked into the Lewis County Jail for possession of a controlled substance, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

• Centralia police arrested a 15-year-old girl for  misdemeanor possession of marijuana after being called about 9:30 a.m. yesterday to the 800 block of Eshom Road. She was released and is being referred the to the Lewis County Prosecutor’s Office for charging, according to the Centralia Police Department.

THREAT WITH FIREARM IN CHEHALIS

• A call about 11:25 a.m. on Sunday about an individual pointing a pistol at people in a parking lot at the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue in Chehalis led to a police pursuit up Interstate 5 and to a home on the 200 block of Brockway Road where police arrested a 20-year-old Chehalis man. Mitchell J. Wilson was booked into the Lewis County Jail for first-degree assault, according to the Chehalis Police Department. It appears the suspect and alleged victims knew each other from a previous incident, according to police.

BREAK-IN CHEHALIS

• Chehalis police were called to the 10 block of Northeast Washington Avenue about 4:30 p.m. on Sunday to take a report of a burglary to a home in which about $1,800 worth of property was stolen. Among the missing items were a PlayStation 4 game console, video games, two gold necklaces and a laptop computer, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

BURGLARY INVESTIGATION

• Centralia police called to the 1000 block of Eckerson Road about 3:15 p.m. on Friday are investigating a possible burglary there.

• Centralia police were called about 1:15 p.m. on Friday to the 1300 block of Alexander Street where a suspect had reportedly on two occasions attempted to enter a residence. An investigation is ongoing, according to the Centralia Police Department.

AUTO THEFT

• A caller to 911 about 10:15 a.m. on Sunday regarding watching someone park a car near the 10 block of Southwest Ninth Street, hop out and jump a fence led to a K-9 track which turned up a suspect because the vehicle had been stolen from Centralia. Tyler A. Sellards, 18, of Chehalis,  was booked into the Lewis County Jail for possession of a stolen vehicle, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

• Centralia police were called to the 200 block of North Railroad Avenue just before 2 a.m. on Saturday where a black 2002 Chrysler 300M had been stolen sometime after Tuesday. The car had a license plate reading BHS 7462, according to the Centralia Police Department.

FRAUD

• Centralia police were called about 1:30 p.m. on Friday to take a report of a debit card which had been lost and then used to make a purchase at a store on the 1300 block of Lum Road.

CAR PROWL

• Chehalis police were called at 7:35 p.m. on Saturday to take a report that someone stole money from an unlocked vehicle while it was parked in an alley near the 300 block of North Market Boulevard.

VANDALISM

• Chehalis police called about 1:20 a.m. on Sunday for a report that car windows had been broken out at the 300 block of Southwest Third Street found other vehicles in the area also with broken passenger windows.

• Police were called about 7:15 a.m. on Sunday to take a report of windows smashed out of a vehicle at the 10 block of Southwest First Street. A decorative brick was located near the scene, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

DRUGS

• Centralia police conducting an investigation into a stolen vehicle about 5 a.m. on Sunday at the 1200 block of Alder Street arrested a 50-year-old Centralia resident for an outstanding warrant and for possession of methamphetamine. The driver ran from the officer who spotted the vehicle, but Terry R. Strong was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to police.

• A 51-year-old resident of Fife was arrested for possession of methamphetamine after contact with police at the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue in Centralia at about 11:50 p.m. on Saturday. Loren W. Paul was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• A 30-year-old Centralia man picked up on an outstanding warrant at Harrison Avenue and M Street in Centralia just before 3 p.m. on Saturday was found to be in possession of heroin, according to the Centralia Police Department. Daniel J. Alvarado  was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to police.

DISORDERLY PERSON

• A 44-year-old man who allegedly became combative and belligerent this morning at the 900 block of South Scheuber Road was arrested for interfering with a health care facility. Michael G. Boone, a person with no address, reportedly had also refused to leave, according to the Centralia Police Department. Officers called about 6 a.m. booked Boone into the Lewis County Jail, according to police.

• Karen L. Soto, 23 of Centralia, was arrested and booked for driving under the influence after a collision at the 700 block of North Tower Avenue that slightly injured one of her passengers just before about 1:20 a.m. on Sunday, according to the Centralia Police Department. Both vehicles were totaled, according to police.

• Officers were called to grocery store on the 500 block of South Tower Avenue in Centralia where a vehicle struck the building just before 4 p.m. on Sunday and arrested the 61-year-old motorist for driving under the influence. Lonnie W. Engel, of Centralia, was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department.

BURGLARY

• Centralia police were called about 4:15 a.m. today when a resident on the 700 block of Euclid Way caught a person in their garage. The suspect fled on foot,  nothing was taken, according to the Centralia Police Department. The incident is under investigation.

• Centralia police were called to the 3300 block of Galvin Road where a business reported that during the night someone had entered a fenced compound and stole fuel from vehicles as well as a power washer and vacuum cleaner.

CAR PROWL

• An officer was called to the 600 block of Southwest Cascade Avenue just before 3 p.m. yesterday where someone had entered an unlocked vehicle and taken CDs as well as coupons for Jack-in-The-Box, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

BANNED FROM BUS STOPS

• Chehalis police were called at 1:40 p.m. yesterday because a 52-year-old man who had been trespassed from a bus stop the day before was back at the stop at the 700 block of Northwest Chamber of Commerce Way. He was arrested for second-degree trespassing and then released, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

• Just before 4:30 p.m. yesterday, an officer was called because two people were allegedly drinking in a bus shelter at Division Street and North National Avenue, and had been told the day before to stay away. At 4:45 p.m., a bus driver again called police asking for an officer to come to a bus stop at Chamber Way and Louisiana Avenue and tell an allegedly extremely intoxicated man to leave and not return. Just after 7 p.m., a bus driver at the same location called police because a female swore at the driver and the driver also wanted a male to be told to leave. Both were believed to have been drinking, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

• A 41-year-old Chehalis resident was arrested yesterday after allegedly rear ending another vehicle at the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue and fleeing the scene around 10:35 a.m. David S. Talbot was  was booked into the Lewis County Jail for driving under the influence and hit and run, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• At about 8 a.m. yesterday, Centralia Police began investigating a hit and run collision to a parked vehicle at the 500 block of North Tower Avenue. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a white sport utility vehicle, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• Chehalis police are investigating a suspected credit card fraud associated with the 1300 block of Northwest State Avenue following a call about 1:40 p.m. yesterday.

• A 34-year-old Lacey man was arrested yesterday for allegedly attempting to break into a vehicle at the 200 block of North Railroad Avenue in Centralia. Jay Steward was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• Centralia police were called about 10:35 a.m. yesterday to take a report of the theft of a purse in a case associated with a location at Second Street and North Tower Avenue.

• A 26-year-old motorist who collided with a parked vehicle at the 600 block of South Washington Avenue in Centralia overnight was medically treated and arrested for driving under the influence, according to the Centralia Police Department. • Police called to the 200 block of South Pearl Street in Centralia about 1 p.m. yesterday ended up citing a 66-year-old Silver Creek man for hit and run. Stephen P. • Someone stole several Halloween decorations from the front yard of a residence at the 200 block of Kristine Court in Centralia, according to a report made to police about 10:10 p.m. yesterday.

•  A vehicle prowl was reported about 5:20 a.m. today in which an unknown suspect stole the victim’s purse at the 500 block of Harrison Avenue in Centralia.

• Chehalis police were called to the 1500 block of North National Avenue at 11 a.m. yesterday where a female reported someone had rummaged through her vehicle. It didn’t appear anything was missing, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

DRUG VIOLATIONS

• A 17-year-old boy was arrested and booked for possession of methamphetamine after being contacted by police during the night. He had been identified as the suspect who broke a window at the a motel on the 700 block of Harrison Avenue, when officers were called just after midnight, according to the Centralia Police Department. The teen tried to flee from police but was apprehended after a short foot chase. The case was also referred for resisting arrest, possession of marijuana, possession dab marijuana and  third-degree malicious mischief, according to police.

• Chehalis police called about 3 p.m. yesterday to the 300 block of Southwest Third Street for a possible overdose are referring case of the 27-year-old woman to prosecutors for a charge of unlawful inhalation of toxic fumes. The woman was taken to the hospital, according to the Chehalis Police Department.
