POLICE: BIKE TAKEN BY FORCE
• Centralia police arrested two men after being called about 5:30 a.m. on Sunday to the 500 block of Harrison Avenue and told the subjects stole a bicycle from a homeless male, with at least one of them using pepper spray during the confrontation. Scott D. Hampton, 31, and Peter R. A. Anderson, 22, neither of whom has a fixed address, were arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree robbery, according to the Centralia Police Department.
THEFT, THEFT, THEFT
• A silver 2003 Honda Accord was reported missing from the 700 block of West Pear Street in Centralia at about 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. The car has a license plate reading BPA9955, according to the Centralia Police Department.
• A Toro lawnmower was stolen from the 1500 block of Lum Road in Centralia, according to a report made to police at about 5:40 p.m. on Friday.
• A leaf blower and fishing tackle were stolen from a shed on the 300 block of Hemlock Street in Centralia, according to a report made to police about 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
VANDALISM
• Chehalis police were called about 8:20 a.m. on Sunday to take a report that sometime during the night, someone had broken a window on a vehicle parked on the 200 block of Northwest Chehalis Avenue.
INAPPROPRIATE COMMUNICATION
• Centralia police were called just after 6 p.m. on Sunday from a juvenile who reported receiving sexual advances via social media from an adult male. The case is under investigation, according to the Centralia Police Department.
ON THE ROAD, OFF THE ROAD
• Centralia police called about 11:45 a.m. on Saturday for a collision near Galvin Road and Northpark Drive found the driver “passed out” inside and administered Narcan to revive him. Nicholas M. Vernon, 34, of Chehalis, was arrested at the hospital for driving under the influence and then released, according to the Centralia Police Department. His vehicle had left the road and run over a phone box, according to police.
