• Centralia police were called about 10:35 a.m. yesterday to take a report of the theft of a purse in a case associated with a location at Second Street and North Tower Avenue.

• A 26-year-old motorist who collided with a parked vehicle at the 600 block of South Washington Avenue in Centralia overnight was medically treated and arrested for driving under the influence, according to the Centralia Police Department. Officers called about 2:25 a.m. booked Deizi Gonsales into the Lewis County Jail, according to police.

• Police called to the 200 block of South Pearl Street in Centralia about 1 p.m. yesterday ended up citing a 66-year-old Silver Creek man for hit and run. Stephen P. Faber had allegedly struck a parked vehicle and left the scene, according to the Centralia Police Department. Faber was arrested and then released, according to police.
