SCAM CALL

• Chehalis police were called about 4:15 p.m. yesterday by an individual who said their mother told them of getting a call from someone who ended up taking all of her money out of her bank account in a case associated with the 1500 block of North National Avenue. An officer gave advice on how to get legal help, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

THEFT

• Chehalis police were called to the 800 block of South Market Boulevard about 4:25 p.m. yesterday to take a report of the theft of three tubs from a laundry business which were marked “not for customer use.” Police are investigating, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

DRUGS

• Chehalis police were called to the 100 block of Northeast Hampe Way about 3 p.m. yesterday when suspected methamphetamine was allegedly found on a 29-year-old Vader man being taken into custody at the state Department of Corrections office. Patrick M. Gish was booked into the Lewis County Jail for possession of a controlled substance, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

• Centralia police arrested a 15-year-old girl for  misdemeanor possession of marijuana after being called about 9:30 a.m. yesterday to the 800 block of Eshom Road. She was released and is being referred the to the Lewis County Prosecutor’s Office for charging, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• And, as usual, other incidents such as arrests for warrants, third-degree theft, driving with suspended license, driving under the influence, violation of no contact order, failure to transfer vehicle title within 45 days; responses for alarm, dispute, trespassing, civil issue, hit and run, vehicle collision, misdemeanor theft, suspicious circumstances and more among 137 calls for local law enforcement and / or fire-emergency medical services in the 24-hour period ending about 7 a.m. today.
