BREAK-IN MORTON

• A deputy responded to a report of a burglary last night of a shop and carport on the 5000 block of state Route 508 outside Morton. Sometime between 5 a.m. and 7 p.m. someone entered through an open window and stole valuables, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. A list of items and their value is being compiled by the victim, according to the sheriff’s office.

BREAK-IN CENTRALIA

• Centralia police were called about 10:50 a.m. on Tuesday to the 1200 block of Alder Street where someone had burglarized a closed business. The case is under investigation, according to the Centralia Police Department.

AUTO THEFT

• A victim reported about 4:35 p.m. on Wednesday that sometime overnight her gray 2000 Honda Civic,was stolen from in front of her residence on the 500 block of Woodland Avenue in Centralia. It has a license plate reading BCS 5939, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• Shane T. Bonagofski, 33 of Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for taking a motor vehicle without owner’s permission after police were investigating a report of the theft of alcohol from a business on the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue yesterday morning. Some of the stolen alcohol was recovered, according to the Centralia Police Department.

OTHER THEFT

• Centralia police were called just after 7 p.m. yesterday regarding the theft of money from an ATM with a stolen debit card in a case associated with the 1000 block of North Gold Street. The investigation is ongoing, according to the Centralia Police Department.

ASSAULT

• Centralia police called just before 10 p.m. on Tuesday to the 900 block of South Scheuber Road regarding two people assaulted at the health care facility are referring a case to prosecutors for third-degree assault regarding a 24-year-old Chehalis woman.

DRUGS

• A 35-year-old Centralia woman arrested on an outstanding warrant at the 900 block of Harrison Avenue about 4:45 a.m. today was also arrested for possession of heroin. Shyla M. Winterholler was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• Chehalis police called to a dispute about 2:10 a.m. today at the 100 block of Southwest Fifth Street ended up arresting two people for a violation of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act after drug residue was found on paraphernalia. Booked into the Lewis County Jail were Kristen A. Novoa, 29, and Jason R. Snow, 25, both of Chehalis, according to the Chehalis Police Department. Snow was further arrested for possession of a controlled substance by a prisoner when a small bag of heroin was found when he was being booked into the jail, according to police.

VANDALISM

• An insurance business at the 400 block of West Main Street in Centralia on Tuesday reported damage to their payment lockbox occurring sometime overnight. It is unknown if any payments were stolen,  according to the Centralia Police Department.

• An individual reported about 10 a.m. on Tuesday that someone attempted to drill out the locks on his parked vehicle at the 1300 block of Lakeshore Drive in Centralia. They were unsuccessful and no entry was made however the door was damaged, according to the Centralia Police Department.

THREAT TO ”DISAPPEAR’ WOMAN

• A Toledo area woman turned over texts and video chats yesterday from her former significant other in which he allegedly related he was going to make sure she disappeared and he was going to feed her to the dogs, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. A case against the 39-year-old Toutle man for felony harassment and violation of a no contact order is being referred to prosecutors, the sheriff’s office said this morning.

ASSAULT AT GREEN HILL

• Police were called to Green Hill School in Chehalis yesterday to take a report of alleged custodial assault occurring on April 24 against a 20-year-old student-inmate during an attempt by staff to break up an altercation, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

SHOPPING CART VANISHES

• Chehalis police were called to Wal-Mart about 5:45 p.m. yesterday where a woman reported that she was unloading groceries and turned back around to find someone had taken her cart with her wallet in it, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

CAR PROWL

• Chehalis police were called at noon yesterday to the 700 block of Southwest 18th Street following a discovery someone had rummaged through a vehicle parked in a garage. Nothing seemed to be missing, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

VANDALISM

• Centralia police were called to the 300 block of South Pearl Street just before 9 a.m. yesterday to take a report that fuel lines had been cut on parked vehicles.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

• A deputy was called to a south Chehalis home about 11:15 p.m. on Friday where a 29-year-old man allegedly tried to choke his father, tried to gouge out his eye and bit him on the back. The 63-year-old victim said they had been arguing and the son also struck him in the face and broke his laptop computer, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. The son was gone when law enforcement arrived but a case for second-degree assault is being forwarded to prosecutors, according to the sheriff’s office.

THEFT, THEFT, THEFT

• Centralia police were called about 6:40 a.m. yesterday to the 1600 block of Kresky Avenue for a burglary to a business. The cash register was taken, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• A 16-year-old boy was arrested after police were called just before 1:30 p.m. yesterday about a break-in to a shed at the 500 block of Southwest William Avenue in Chehalis. When an officer arrived, two individuals fled the shed and a police dog apprehended the teen but a 15-year-old suspect got away, according to the Chehalis Police Department. The 16-year-old was booked into the Lewis County Juvenile Detention Center, according to police.

• Chehalis police were called just before 8:25 p.m. yesterday to the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard where three females were suspected of shoplifting a “large amount” of alcohol and other items. The initial information indicated a whole shelf of Crown Royal liquor was taken, according to the Chehalis Police Department. The case is under investigation.

• Centralia police called about 6:30 p.m. yesterday to the 1300 block of Lum Road arrested five juvenile males for allegedly shoplifting. The boys were booked for organized retail theft, according to the Centralia Police Department. A search warrant revealed additional stolen property in their vehicle, according to police.

DRUGS

• A 28-year-old Rochester resident detained for alleged shoplifting at the 1600 block of Harrison Avenue in Centralia on Saturday evening was subsequently arrested for possession of heroin. James P. Douglas was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• A 40-year-old Centralia resident was arrested for possession of methamphetamine about 9:50 p.m. on Friday at the 800 block of Harrison Avenue. Justin L Hyde was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department.

CAR PROWL

• Centralia police were called at 1:30 p.m. on Friday for a vehicle prowl at the 1300 block of Belmont Avenue. Tool boxes were taken from the bed of a truck during the night, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• A 63-year-old truck driver was cited after Chehalis police got a 7 p.m. call on Friday about a completely naked man urinating in a store parking lot, near a semi truck at the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. Daniel G. Gallon, from Abbotsford, British Columbia was issued citations for indecent exposure and urinating in public and then released, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

• A woman said she thought it was her lucky day when she found a $20 bill on the street but when she tried to spend it just before 4:30 a.m. yesterday at the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue was told it was fake, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

• Police were called about 11:20 a.m. on Saturday to Belmont and Harrison avenues for a minor injury collision between a car and a motorcycle, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• A 19-year-old Centralia resident was arrested for eluding in connection with an approximately 11 p.m. incident Saturday associated with the 300 block of South Gold Street in Centralia. Matthew A Seip was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department.

DOMESTIC INCIDENT

• A 41-year-old Onalaska man was arrested for fourth-degree assault and then possession of methamphetamine after deputies were called to the 1900 block of state Route 508 just before 10 p.m. yesterday because he allegedly struck his 68-year-old female relative, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. The responding deputy observed marks on the victim’s forehead and slight bruising, according to the sheriff’s office. Jeffrey A. Church was booked into the Lewis County Jail, Chief Deputy Dusty Breen said.

AUTO THEFT

• A turquoise 1994 Honda Accord was reported was reported stolen from the 100 block of North Washington Avenue in Centralia just before 7 o’clock yesterday morning. It has the word “Accord” across the top of the windshield, according to the Centralia Police Department.

OTHER THEFT

• A deputy was called about 10:45 p.m. yesterday to the 2900 block of Jackson Highway south of Chehalis where someone attempted to steal a Seattle Times newspaper box outside a store. Two people in a suspect vehicle were contacted by Chehalis police and subsequently arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. They are Kalie M. Hamilton, 22, of Centralia, for attempted third-degree theft and Kennard P. Supak, 25, for possession of heroin, according to the sheriff’s office.

FRAUD

• Police were called about 3:10 p.m. yesterday by an individual about the unauthorized use of her debit card in a case associated with the 1300 block of St. Helens Street in Centralia.

CAR PROWL

• A 41-year-old Vader resident was arrested for vehicle prowl and driving on a suspended license about 7:45 p.m. yesterday at the 900 block of Old Airport Way in Centralia, according to the Centralia Police Department. Joseph E. Loudin was allegedly caught breaking into a parked vehicle, according to police. He was arrested and then released pending a court hearing.
