Old man – I would steer clear of this guy sooner or later he mess up and they will nab him. Raising your pitchfork and torch going after one specific guy is really a waste of time.

On the scanner, it sounds like they have cut back on the east end patrols on the weekends anyways. You get used to hearing their numbers and voices and sort of get the feel of who they are. One woman cop is not on the air anymore for sometime now, and a guy one who spent a lot of time in Mineral, Ashford and Packwood on foot after midnight is no longer on the air either. There are new voices along with some old ones but nobody is getting way out in the sticks after midnight like he did.
Hope he comes back this summer. Pretty cool to hear traffic stops out in Cispus and Ashford late on a Saturday night. A unique voice. He always sounded calm and smooth.

Meanwhile we have a guy up here on the east end of the county going into rages and ramming people in their cars and scaring people to death, and the deputies are afraid to arrest him. He’s a great guy when he is on his meds, but has a history of going nuts on people like this going back many years. Just got off of probation from what I hear and must have gotten off his meds at the same time.

This guy is a bruiser and strong as an ox. He nearly ran my friend off the road the other day then turned around with his truck and rammed their car several times. The deputy who responded tried to downplay it asking him if he really wanted to press charges as “it’s only a misdemeanor anyway”. Last I heard, vehicular assault was a felony.

The cops all know this guy and my friend theorizes that they don’t want to arrest them because they are afraid of him.
