BREAK-IN MORTON

• A deputy responded to a report of a burglary last night of a shop and carport on the 5000 block of state Route 508 outside Morton. Sometime between 5 a.m. and 7 p.m. someone entered through an open window and stole valuables, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. A list of items and their value is being compiled by the victim, according to the sheriff’s office.

BREAK-IN CENTRALIA

• Centralia police were called about 10:50 a.m. on Tuesday to the 1200 block of Alder Street where someone had burglarized a closed business. The case is under investigation, according to the Centralia Police Department.

AUTO THEFT

• A victim reported about 4:35 p.m. on Wednesday that sometime overnight her gray 2000 Honda Civic,was stolen from in front of her residence on the 500 block of Woodland Avenue in Centralia. It has a license plate reading BCS 5939, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• Shane T. Bonagofski, 33 of Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for taking a motor vehicle without owner’s permission after police were investigating a report of the theft of alcohol from a business on the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue yesterday morning. Some of the stolen alcohol was recovered, according to the Centralia Police Department.

OTHER THEFT

• Centralia police were called just after 7 p.m. yesterday regarding the theft of money from an ATM with a stolen debit card in a case associated with the 1000 block of North Gold Street. The investigation is ongoing, according to the Centralia Police Department.

ASSAULT

• Centralia police called just before 10 p.m. on Tuesday to the 900 block of South Scheuber Road regarding two people assaulted at the health care facility are referring a case to prosecutors for third-degree assault regarding a 24-year-old Chehalis woman.

DRUGS

• A 35-year-old Centralia woman arrested on an outstanding warrant at the 900 block of Harrison Avenue about 4:45 a.m. today was also arrested for possession of heroin. Shyla M. Winterholler was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• Chehalis police called to a dispute about 2:10 a.m. today at the 100 block of Southwest Fifth Street ended up arresting two people for a violation of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act after drug residue was found on paraphernalia. Booked into the Lewis County Jail were Kristen A. Novoa, 29, and Jason R. Snow, 25, both of Chehalis, according to the Chehalis Police Department. Snow was further arrested for possession of a controlled substance by a prisoner when a small bag of heroin was found when he was being booked into the jail, according to police.

VANDALISM

• An insurance business at the 400 block of West Main Street in Centralia on Tuesday reported damage to their payment lockbox occurring sometime overnight. It is unknown if any payments were stolen,  according to the Centralia Police Department.

• An individual reported about 10 a.m. on Tuesday that someone attempted to drill out the locks on his parked vehicle at the 1300 block of Lakeshore Drive in Centralia. They were unsuccessful and no entry was made however the door was damaged, according to the Centralia Police Department.
