THEFT AND FRAUD
• A burglary to an unoccupied residence was reported just after 3 p.m. yesterday at the 400 block of South King Street in Centralia.
• A 39-year-old Olympia woman was arrested for forgery yesterday evening in a case associated with the 1000 block of Eckerson Road in Centralia. The case is also being referred to prosecutors for possible charge of fourth-degree assault, according to the Centralia Police Department. Jessica M. Resto was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to police.
• Chehalis police were called about 1:40 p.m. yesterday to investigate a theft at the 300 block of Southwest 13th Street.
• Chehalis police were called about 1:30 p.m. yesterday for a case of suspected fraud associated with the 500 block of West Main Street.
• Police were called to the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue about 2:40 p.m. yesterday following the discovery a person or persons had passed two counterfeit $100 bills.
ON THE ROAD, OFF THE ROAD
• A 20-year-old Silver Creek resident was arrested for driving under the influence and minor in possession of alcohol after a single-vehicle wreck about 5 p.m. yesterday at the 500 block of Gish Road in Onalaska. The 2003 Acura RSX was totaled, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. James C. Cheney was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the sheriff’s office.
• A 57-year-old Chehalis man looking at Christmas trees at the edge of a retail parking lot in Chehalis was struck by a van yesterday, according to the Chehalis Police Department. Police and aid were called at 1:30 p.m. to the 1700 block of North National Avenue, but he declined medical treatment, according to police.
