CHAINSAWS RECOVERED
• A 22-year-old Chehalis man was arrested yesterday following an afternoon call from the 900 block of Logan Hill Road about three Stihl chainsaws getting stolen from a garage. A deputy tracked down the items at a Centralia pawn shop and contacted a suspect, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. Jacob D. Tanner was booked into the Lewis County Jail for residential burglary and trafficking in stolen property, according to the sheriff’s office.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY
• An individual called Centralia police about 12:25 p.m. yesterday to report that the afternoon before, an unknown female tried to break into his residence at the 2200 block of North Pearl Street. Minor damage was done to the door but no entry was made to the house, according to the Centralia Police Department.
AUTO THEFT
• Centralia police were contacted about 2:50 p.m. yesterday by an individual who reported her white 2001 Dodge Caravan was stolen from Centralia approximately one week earlier. The license plate is BHF 6752, according to the Centralia Police Department.
OTHER THEFT
• A retail theft involving multiple high valued items was reported from the 1300 block of Lum Road in Centralia just before 6 p.m. yesterday.
• Thea M. Smith, 37, of Tacoma, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree theft after police were called just before 11 a.m. yesterday to the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue, according to the Centralia Police Department.
DRUGS
• Sophea M. Delavergne, 40, of Winlock, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail on outstanding warrants late yesterday afternoon and a corrections officer allegedly subsequently found suspected methamphetamine on her person, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.
• A traffic stop for expired tabs about 4:30 p.m. yesterday at the 600 block of Meier Road in which a motorist turned out to be driving with a suspended license led to an arrest for a violation of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act because of a small baggie of a white crystalized substance, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. Caitlin Allred, 24, from Winlock, was was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the sherif’s office.
• An officer called about 2:10 p.m. yesterday regarding a person passed out in the restroom of a restaurant at the 1200 block of Lum Road in Centralia arrested Raphael S. Baker, 40, for possession of heroin, according to the Centralia Police Department. Baker was booked into the Lewis County Jail.
