LOG TRUCKS WRECK

• A Vader man was injured when his log truck rear ended a log truck and logs entered the cab of his semi yesterday morning on Interstate 5 in Tacoma. Troopers called about 9:30 a.m. to the scene northbound near 38th Street report that Delbert E. Beatty, 63, from Vader, was transported to Tacoma General Hospital. The roadway was blocked for five hours, according to the Washington State Patrol. Beatty was issued an infraction for speeding, according to the state patrol. His 2005 Kenworth was towed. The 34-year-old driver of the 2010 Kenworth log truck, Ronald S. Brownlow, from Rainer, Oregon, was reportedly unhurt.

BREAK-IN

• A burglary to a residence that was being rehabilitated at the 300 block of L Street in Centralia was reported about 1:30 p.m. yesterday.

DRUGS

• A 29-year-old Napavine resident was arrested for possession of methamphetamine after contact with police about 10 p.m. yesterday near southbound Interstate 5 in Centralia. Michael E. Bylsma was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department.
