• A green 2000 Ford F150 pickup truck was reported stolen from in front of the owner’s apartment on the 2900 block of Mount Vista Road in Centralia just before 4 a.m. today. The vehicle has a license plate reading B66778P, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• Chehalis police were sent to the 400 block of Southeast Cascade Avenue about 6 p.m. yesterday for a burglary.

• Money was reported stolen from a drawer at the 1300 block of Alexander Street in Centralia at about 4:15 p.m. yesterday.

• Centralia police were called to the 900 block of South Scheuber Road just before noon yesterday to take a report of the theft of a purse.

• Chehalis police were called to the 100 block of Southeast Washington Avenue just after 11 a.m. yesterday to take a report of a stolen lawn mower.

• Police were called just before 8:30 a.m. yesterday for an individual reporting someone entered their house at the 100 block of Jalyn Street in Centralia during the night and stealing a purse and a wallet.

• The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office reported yesterday a deputy was called to the 6000 block of U.S. Highway 12 in Morton where a woman reported a family member was suspected of stealing her ATM card and using it to make purchases and withdrawals as far back as the beginning on the month. The 20-year-old suspect was interviewed and arrested for second-degree theft, according to the sheriff’s office. Gage A. Laclef, from Morton, was booked into the Lewis County Jail, Chief Deputy Dusty Breen said.

• A deputy was called to the 600 block of South Military Road in Winlock on Tuesday afternoon when the owner of a cargo trailer returned from traveling to find someone had removed two Stihl chainsaws, a weed eater, a sawzall and a circular saw.

ASSAULT

• Chehalis police were dispatched about 7:25 a.m. today to the 500 block of Southeast Adams Avenue for an assault.

BAD TOUCHING REPORTED

• A deputy called for a disorderly person at the 200 block of West Carson Street in Centralia at about 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday spoke to other people present and was told that earlier in the evening a 45-year-old man had inappropriately touched an 11-year-old girl in the bathroom area when she was getting out of the shower. Carlos G. Reyna, of Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for first-degree child molestation, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

• Chehalis police were called just before 3 p.m. yesterday to take a report an older man driving a red sedan had come through and exposed himself to an employee at the 10 block of Median Street.

• A white 1998 Mitsubishi Montero was reported stolen from the 1200 block of Lum Road in Centralia just before 2 p.m. on Tuesday. The vehicle bears a license plate reading BIA 4151, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• Two people from Toledo were arrested when a sheriff’s deputy pulled over a stolen white 1991 Jeep Cherokee at Jackson Highway and state Route 508 at about 12:15 a.m. on Monday. Gregory S. D’Adda, 20, and Ruthann Gronke, 22, were booked into the Lewis County Jail for possession of a stolen vehicle, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

• A 19-year-old Centralia resident was arrested for second-degree theft after police were called just after 4 p.m. on Tuesday to the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue in Centralia because he allegedly rode away from a store on an electric shopping cart that belonged to the store. Juan M. Lopez-Abrego was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• The theft of packages off of a front porch was reported about 8:45 a.m. Tuesday from the 700 block of North Washington Avenue in Centralia.

• Deputies responded to the 100 block of Annonen Road just after 2 p.m. on Sunday when a resident who was out of the area reported seeing someone inside their home via a remote security system. Containment was set up and a K-9 track begun when deputies heard from motorist who had given a male a ride and dropped him off along the Winlock-Vader Road, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. A suspect was located inside a shop at a vacant residence on the 300 block of Annonen Road, according to the sheriff’s office. Jason L. Cothren, 28, from Winlock, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for residential burglary and trespassing, Chief Deputy Dusty Breen said.

• Police were called to the 600 block of F Street in Centralia just before 1 p.m. on Sunday where someone had entered an unlocked side door to a residence and removed a purse.

• Centralia police were called about 1 a.m. on Sunday to the 800 block of G Street on a report of a package missing off of a porch after a female came to the door looking for someone.

• An individual reported fraudulent activity on their credit card at about 8:20 p.m. on Saturday from the 1100 block of West Pear Street in Centralia.

• Centralia police received a referral on Friday associated with the 1000 block of Kresky Avenue in which an elderly person may have had money stolen out of their account. The case is under investigation, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• Centralia police were called to the 2700 block of Mount Vista Road jus before noon on Friday where a a wallet was reported stolen from a residence sometime during the night.

VEHICLE PROWL

• Someone leaned out from an older dark-colored sport utility vehicle at the 100 block of South Fourth Street in Chehalis and grabbed a white five-gallon bucket containing tools from the back of a parked truck, according to a report made to police about 8:35 a.m. on Monday.

VANDALISM

• Chehalis police were called just after 8 a.m. on Monday to the 10 block of Southwest Chehalis Avenue where a rock had gone through the window of a business.

• Centralia police took a report of someone puncturing all four tires to a truck just before 9 a.m. on Saturday at the 800 block of West First Street.

DRUGS

• Joseph R. N. Sanchez, 32, of Tacoma, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for possession of methamphetamine and retail theft with extenuating circumstances after he allegedly stole clothing items from two stores and was arrested after which he was found to be in possession of meth in a case associated with the 1300 block of Lum Road in Centralia reported about 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• Nicholas B. Decker, 29, of Onalaska was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for possession of a controlled substance after he was arrested for driving under the influence and illegal drugs were allegedly found to be in his possession after contact with police about 2:45 a.m. on Monday at the 1300 block of South Gold Street in Centralia, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• A passenger not wearing a seat belt during a traffic stop about 4:50 a.m. on Sunday at the 1000 block of Ellsbury Road in Centralia turned out to have an outstanding warrant and also allegedly a white crystal substance on his person. Isaac J. Cisneros, 24, from Centralia, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

• An 18-year-old Centralia resident was arrested for possession of marijuana after being contacted by police about 11:25 p.m. on Friday at the 100 block of West Oakview Avenue in Centralia. Yuma E. Perez Martinez was cited and then released, according to the Centralia Police Department.

BRUSH FIRE

• Firefighters today were monitoring an area where a brush fire broke out yesterday near Koontz and Schreiner roads. Crews were called about 4:30 p.m. yesterday and joined by personnel from the state Department of Natural Resources to extinguish the fire where a slash pile had previously smoldered, according to Lewis County Fire District 5. The overall size was estimated to be less than three acres.

BURGLARY

• A deputy responded about 10:50 p.m. yesterday for a break-in to a detached garage at a residence on the 100 block of Union Avenue in which a commercial paint sprayer, a compound bow, gas cans, a Poulan chainsaw and various tools were stolen. It happened between 6 p.m. on Tuesday and 4 p.m. yesterday, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

• Centralia police responded just after 3 a.m. today for an attempted break-in to a business on the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue.

THEFT

• Chehalis police were called by an individual who left a wallet, possibly in the restroom, at Wal-Mart about 8:30 p.m. yesterday. It was a purple wallet with a gold symbol containing bank cards and checks, according to the Chehalis Police Department. Nobody turned it in, according to police.

DRUGS

• A 25-year-old Chehalis resident contacted by police about outstanding warrants just before 5 o’clock this morning at the 800 block of Harrison Avenue in Centralia was arrested for possession of methamphetamine. Derreck J. Larson was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• John W. Franken, 34, of Centralia, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and possession of methamphetamine when contacted by police about 9:50 a.m. yesterday at the 600 block of Jefferson Street in Centralia, according to the Centralia Police Department. He was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to police.

ON THE ROAD, OFF THE ROAD

• Ten people were injured when an 84-year-old motorist from Centralia failed to stop for traffic stopped in a work zone causing a chain reaction collision involving four other vehicles yesterday in Wahkiakum County, according to the Washington State Patrol. Niels W. Paulsen, 84, from Centralia was driving a Ford F350 pickup and was transported by aid to St. Johns as were eight others, according to the state patrol. The 64-year-old driver of a Ford Excursion was airlifted to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, according to the state patrol. Troopers called at 1:25 p.m. to eastbound state Route 4 about eight miles east of Cathlamet indicate it was unknown if seven injured children in the Excursion had been wearing seat belts. The collision is under investigation.

CHICK WARMER IGNITES HOUSE FIRE

• An unattended heat lamp in a plastic container for chicks sparked a fire on the wooden front porch of an Onalaska area residence yesterday. Flames were able to get into the attic space from the front eves of the double-wide mobile home on the 600 block of Gish Road, according to Fire Investigator Derrick Paul. Lewis County Fire District 1 was called at 12:11 p.m. when a passing motorist noticed the fire, according to Paul. They were joined by personnel from Lewis County Fire Districts 8, 6 and 5, he said. The owners were not home when the fire broke out and none of the chicks survived, according to Paul.

• Chehalis police are investigating after being called to the 1000 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue about 7:45 a.m. yesterday where as many 50 vehicle batteries were removed and stolen at an RV business.

• Centralia police were called to the 1400 block of South Tower Avenue about 10:45 a.m. yesterday regarding the theft of used car batteries. The investigation is ongoing, according to the Centralia Police Department.

VEHICLE PROWL

• An officer responded to the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue in Chehalis about 8:45 a.m. yesterday where someone had detached and removed a generator from a trailer. Missing is a Briggs and Stratton 6250 watt generator, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

AUTO THEFT

• A white Ford Explorer was reported as abandoned at the 1300 block of Lum Road in Centralia just before 9 a.m. yesterday, but was discovered to have been a stolen vehicle, according to the Centralia Police Department.

DRUGS

• Two people were arrested around 12:20 a.m. today at the 600 block of South Golds Street in Centralia for outstanding warrants and possession of methamphetamine. Dylon L. Favro, 25, a homeless person, and Brianna L. Gallion, 28, of Centralia, were booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• A 24-year-old Mossyrock man found slumped over in the back of a car near the 500 block of South Market Boulevard in Chehalis just before 2:30 p.m. yesterday with a hypodermic needle next to him was rousted and then arrested for possession of heroin, according to the Chehalis Police Department. Police were preparing to administer Narcan but Luke R. Mosteller became responsive so they didn’t, according to police. He was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to police.

• Someone entered through an unlocked bedroom window of a residence at the 100 block of Northview Drive in Chehalis yesterday and stole $3,000 cash, jewelry and other currency, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. The break-in occurred between 8:40 a.m. and 10:20 p.m., according to the sheriff’s office.

THEFT

• A deputy was called yesterday evening about a 1975 Peer tank trailer missing from an unfenced staging area of a business at the 200 block of Ritchie Lane south of Chehalis. The trailer, valued at $1,000, was last seen there on April 9, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

• Cash was reported stolen from a business at the 1100 block of North Pearl Street in Centralia at 3:30 p.m. yesterday. The suspects are a male and a female, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• Luggage was stolen from the lobby of an apartment complex at the 300 block of West Pine Street in Centralia, according to a report made to police at 11:30 a.m. yesterday.

• Centralia police called at 9:40 p.m. yesterday to the 900 block of South Scheuber Road are referring a case to prosecutors for possession of heroin regarding a 19-year-old Centralia man who allegedly brought drugs into a health care facility.

• An officer was called just before 11 a.m. yesterday to the 300 block of Southwest 16th Street where an 18-year-old student allegedly was found in possession of marijuana. She was cited and then released, according to the Chehalis Police Department.
