DOMESTIC DISPUTE

• A 21-year-old Centralia man was arrested last night after he allegedly threatened to bash his 29-year-old roommate with a brick. Officers called just after 8 p.m. to the 800 block of North Pearl Street were told they were out in the yard and after the roommate went inside, Justin M. Dubay picked up a large brick and tried to go in, according to the Centralia Police Department. Dubay was booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree assault, according to police.

OBSTRUCTION

• A 19-year-old Olympia resident was arrested just after 10 o’clock yesterday morning at the 1000 block of West Main Street for third-degree driving with a suspended license and obstructing a public servant. Ibrahim K. Alibrahim was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department.

MISSING COMPUTER

• Police were called about 9:20 a.m. yesterday to take a report of the theft of a laptop computer at the 600 block of Centralia College Boulevard in Centralia.

PORCH THEFT

• Packages were stolen from a porch at the 1000 block of Scammon Creek Road in Centralia, according to a report made to police about 1:50 p.m. yesterday.

BAD BILLS

• A woman brought two $100 bills into the Chehalis Police Department yesterday and said she suspected they were counterfeit, and that she had found them in the parking lot of a retail store. The department confirmed the bills were fake and took them into evidence to be forwarded to the U.S. Secret Service, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

VANDALISM

• Centralia police responded about 1:45 a.m. today to the 800 block of North Pearl Street where windows to a residence and a vehicle window were smashed.

ON THE ROAD, OFF THE ROAD

• Deputies arrested a 59-year-old woman for driving under the influence following an 8:30 p.m. call for a single-vehicle rollover accident near U.S. Highway 12 and Gershick Road in Silver Creek yesterday. Laura M. Stringer, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

MUGGED IN CENTRALIA

• Centralia police were called at 7:34 p.m. yesterday after a bicyclist reported his wallet was stolen from him in the area of Yew and Mellen streets in Centralia. The 24-year-old local man said he was riding along when out of nowhere, a male wearing a black hoodie punched him the mouth, according to the Centralia Police Department. When the victim fell to the ground, his wallet fell out of his pocket, police said. “The suspect chuckled, picked it up and left,” Sgt. Kurt Reichert said. The assailant was described as white, wearing a goatee and being 25 to 30 years old.

BREAK-IN CENTRALIA

• Centralia police were called about 1:35 p.m. yesterday for a burglary to a garage on the 800 block of South Pearl Street.

CAR PROWL

• Chehalis police were called about 5:35 p.m. yesterday for a car prowl at the 200 block of Southwest 13th Street. A woman returned to her vehicle she had parked in the lot by the playground and found her rear side window broken, according to the Chehalis Police Department. A phone and a wallet were missing, police said.

• Police were called about 12:50 p.m. yesterday to the 1100 block of L Street in Centralia for a vehicle prowl. A purse was taken sometime during the night, according to the Centralia Police Department.

GREEN HILL ASSAULT

• An 18-year-old student-inmate at Green Hill School in Chehalis was brought before a judge this afternoon in Lewis County Superior Court to face charge a of custodial assault for an incident that allegedly occurred on Dec. 31. Cecil R. Pinckney and another inmate were fighting when staff members attempted to pull them apart and Pinckney allegedly struck one of the employees twice on his forehead, according to charging documents. The class C felony holds a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine if he should be convicted.

ON THE ROAD, OFF THE ROAD

• Firefighters and police responded to a five-vehicle accident at 8 o’clock this morning at the 1900 block of North Pearl Street in Centralia. Nobody was seriously injured. Eight potential patients were evaluated at the scene, with only complaints of minor injuries, Riverside Fire Authority reports. It was a chain reaction rear end collision involving two vans, a Jeep, a pickup truck and a car, according to responders. Centralia police are investigating.

KNIVES AND NOT KNIVES

• Chehalis police were called just before 8 p.m. on Saturday when an individual witnessed a fight and possible stabbing at the 400 block of Northeast Washington Avenue. An arriving officer checked the area for blood and found none; spoke to the suspected victim and was told he was not stabbed, according to the Chehalis Police Department. Nobody was arrested, according to police.

• Chehalis police called to the 100 block of Southwest Sixth Street at 3:30 p.m. on Friday for what appeared to be a man with a knife chasing a female ended up arresting the man for possession of methamphetamine. An officer spoke with both of them and Adrian J. Gillespie, 43, was cited for prohibited conduct – a violation of the city municipal code – and a search incident to that arrest turned up a pipe that tested positive for drugs, according to the Chehalis Police Department. Gillespie was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to police.

MORE DRUGS

• A 43-year-old Mineral resident contends the small baggie of methamphetamine that fell from his pants when he stood up at the conclusion of the booking process at the jail overnight was not his, but images on security video and a field test led to his arrest. David E. Hall was stopped by a deputy last night in Mineral and arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for third-degree driving with a suspended license, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. He was subsequently arrested for possession of meth, according to the sheriff’s office.

• White powder in the wallet of an arrestee that tested positive for meth led to a second arrest of a 23-year-old Chehalis man on Saturday following a traffic stop on North Fork Road. A deputy called about 12:15 p.m. for a trespassing complaint at the 100 block of Literal Road encountered a vehicle which contained Brian M. Hull and arrested him for allegedly earlier cutting phone lines during an argument with his mother and threatening to puncture all four of her tires, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. Hull was arrested for third-degree malicious mischief and then possession of methamphetamine, and booked into the Lewis County Jail, Chief Deputy Stacy Brown said this morning. Prosecutors had only enough information to charged him with the drug crime, Lewis County Chief Criminal Deputy Prosecutor Brad Meagher told a judge this afternoon. Hull ‘s bail was set at $10,000.

• A 44-year-old Centralia woman was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail on Friday for allegedly selling methamphetamine twice to confidential informants in Lewis County last September. Jodi R. Greenwood has no felony convictions in her past and has lived at the same address for the last 15 years, a judge was told this afternoon in Lewis County Superior Court during a bail hearing. Charges were filed for two counts of delivery of meth on Dec. 9 and an arrest warrant issued for Greenwood. Her bail was set at $10,000.

VEHICLE THEFT

• A 59-year-old man from Roy called the sheriff’s office yesterday following the discovery his pickup truck was missing from a field in Curtis where he had left it on Friday evening. The Chevrolet Silvarado was taken from the 300 block of Beaver Creek Road, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. It had a black cab guard, an aluminum tool box and a black and white “dog box,” according to the sheriff’s office. Its license plate reads B69566S.

FRAUD

• Chehalis police were called on Saturday by an individual who was advised by his bank that someone used his bank card at Wal-Mart in Chehalis, attempting a series of four transactions each in the amount of $404.94. Not all the transactions were completed, according to the Chehalis Police Department. The victim lives in another part of the state, police said.

• Morton police reported today they are investigating a report of bank information getting stolen and being used to pay for satellite television services. The complaint was taken last week, according to the Morton Police Department.

CAR PROWL

• Centralia police responded to an approximate 5:25 a.m. report of a vehicle prowl today at the 1700 block of West Mellen Street. Someone had rifled through the unlocked vehicle but nothing appeared to be missing, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• Camping equipment was stolen from a vehicle at the 1200 block of West Pear Street in Centralia, according to a report made to police about 7:10 p.m. yesterday.

POLICE: MOTORIST GAVE FALSE NAME

• Prosecutors filed a charge today of first-degree criminal impersonation against a 37-year-old Morton man, contending he pretended he was his brother when he got traffic ticket on Feb. 5 in the Morton area. During last week’s warrant sweep when law enforcement went looking for the brother, they learned he lived in another state, but that David W. Willis Jr. 37, had recently been arrested at that address and was currently in the Lewis County Jail, according to charging documents. An officer looked at a booking photo and concluded Willis was the person he stopped. Willis denied any memory of the traffic stop.

ALLEGED SEX OFFENSE

• Carlos D. Linares, 21, was arrested on Friday at the Chehalis Police Department, following an interview, for first-degree child molestation in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred about six months ago, according to the Chehalis Police Department. He was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to police. The felony charge is not being filed by prosecutors pending further investigation.

GREEN HILL ASSAULT

• An 18-year-old former student-inmate of Green Hill School in Chehalis was brought before a judge this afternoon in Lewis County Superior Court to face two charges of custodial assault for an incident that allegedly occurred on March 13. Devin A. Martin allegedly punched a staff member twice and hit a second staff member in the face after the inmates were told recreation time was over and to line up, according to charging documents. Martin was housed at Green Hill School after an adult conviction while he was a juvenile for first-degree robbery in King County. His arraignment is scheduled for Thursday.

ON THE ROAD, OFF THE ROAD FOLLOW UP

• The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office is forwarding a case involving a wreck early yesterday morning outside of Chehalis for a charge of driving under the influence. Firefighters and deputies responding about 1:15 a.m. on Saturday to the 300 block of Highway 603 found a vehicle had collided with a utility pole and injured its driver. Jennifer L. Ternan, 44, of Chehalis, was transported to Providence Centralia Hospital where she was admitted, according to the sheriff’s office. A search warrant was issued to obtain some of her blood, Chief Deputy Stacy Brown said this morning. Brown said she didn’t know the extent of Ternan’s injuries, but said she was not booked into jail. The utility pole was destroyed, Brown said, but didn’t indicate the extent of damage to Ternan’s vehicle.

• Centralia police were called about 12:25 a.m. today when a resident looked outside and saw two persons with flashlights inside their parked car. The resident yelled at the suspects who fled on foot from the 1000 block of West Walnut Street, according to the Centralia Police Department. Nothing was taken from the car, according to police.

• Police were called just before 10 a.m. on Friday about a vehicle prowl at the 500 block of North Buckner Street in Centralia. A radar detector was stolen during the night, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• Centralia police on Friday took a report of an overnight vehicle prowl at the 100 block of South Gold Street.

DRUGS

• A 37-year-old motorist stopped for a traffic violation on the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue in Centralia just after 9 p.m. on Friday was subsequently arrested for possession of methamphetamine. Guy A McAllister, from Chehalis, was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department.
