• Police were called just before 6 p.m. yesterday to a possible residential burglary at the 1400 block of Southwest Snively Avenue in Chehalis. The reporting person said she found her bedroom in disarray, according to the Chehalis Police Department. The case is under investigation, according to police.

MISSING CAR LOCATED

• A deputy was called about 6:20 p.m. yesterday by an individual at the 200 block of Stub Road in Onalaska who said they had loaned their car to a 35-year-old Ethel man, who instead of using it for a short period of time, kept it for several days, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. At about 1:20 a.m. today, Tumwater police found the 1995 Honda Civic and the suspect, according to the sheriff’s office. Jeromy R. Duryea was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for taking a motor vehicle without permission, Chief Deputy Bruce Kimsey said.

OTHER THEFT

• A set of dentures was reported stolen after the victim left them in a pocket of a jacket that somebody else had worn and returned with the dentures missing, according to a report made to police about 10:30 a.m. yesterday from the 300 block of North Tower Avenue.

DRUGS

• Chehalis police were called over to the the state Department of Corrections office at the 100 block of Northeast Hampe Way about 4 p.m. yesterday where a small amount of a crystal substance was allegedly found on a person. He said he’d found it a few days earlier, was going to get rid of it and forgot he had it, according to the Chehalis Police Department. The material will be tested, according to police.

• A 33-year-old Chehalis man contacted about 2:20 a.m. yesterday walking along the 200 block of Maurin Road in Chehalis was arrested for an outstanding warrant and possession of methamphetamine. Brandon L. Inman was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

• One person was airlifted and another person arrested after a car collided with a tree yesterday morning along state Route 506 near Vader. All lanes were blocked near the River Oaks RV Park beginning about 7:40 a.m. and a detour put in place, according to the Washington State Patrol.

• A deputy was called about 10:55 p.m. yesterday to the 1600 block of Windsor Avenue in Centralia when a resident arrived home to find a distant relative asleep in a bed. The 23-year-old intruder was told to leave and allegedly left with a wallet and a pair of boots, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

• Centralia police were called about 7 p.m. yesterday to the 2900 block of Mount Vista Road where a burglary was reported after the victim discovered a door was removed from his storage shed and several items were missing.

• A deputy was called about 1 p.m. yesterday to the 600 block of Goodrich Road in Centralia where someone had broken two windows, forced open a door and gone inside to steal an air compressor sometime since Saturday,  according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

• A deputy was called to the 100 block of Deer Ridge Lane in Mossyrock just before 1 p.m. yesterday where someone had stolen a welder, a plasma cutter and various tools valued at $3,500 sometime since Feb. 15.

CAR PROWL

• Several power tools were stolen from a vehicle parked at the 100 block of North Tower Avenue in Centralia, according to a report made to police just after 9 a.m. yesterday.

DRUGS

• Armondo A. Del Real, 25, of Centralia was arrested and booked into Lewis County Jail on outstanding warrants and possession of a drug without a prescription after being contacted by police about 1:26 a.m. today at the 500 block of Harrison Avenue in Centralia, according to the Centralia Police Department.

VANDALISM

• An unknown suspect spray painted graffiti on a building at the 500 block of North Pearl Street in Centralia, according to a report made to police just before 10 p.m. yesterday.

• Centralia police responded to the 700 block of H Street following an approximately 10:15 a.m. call yesterday where someone had purposely turned on water and let it run, flooding multiple floors of a building.

• Police were called about 9:35 a.m. yesterday to the 500 block of North Tower Avenue where an unknown suspect spray painted graffiti on a building.

• A traffic stop about 2:39 a.m. today on the 1600 block of U.S. Highway 12 led to the arrest of a 19-year-old Tacoma resident for minor driving under the influence of marijuana and multiple firearms offenses. A loaded handgun was found resting on he driver’s side floorboard, with its serial number shaved off, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. Bonifacio Alvarez-Reynolds was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the sheriff’s office.

FIRE

• Lewis County Fire District 13 responded to its first brush fire of the year yesterday, for an early start to the brush fire season. Fire was contained and extinguished with the help of Chehalis Fire Department, District 6, District 7, District 15 and Department of Natural Resources.

• The cause of a fire that destroyed a Toledo-area two story home and its contents on Saturday afternoon is under investigation. Crews called about 5:25 p.m. to the 500 block of Toledo-Vader Road observed heavy fire coming from the upstairs and were joined by six area fire departments, according to Lewis County Fire District 2. Nobody was home at the time and two pets – a dog and a cat were lost, according to Chief Mike Dorothy.

• Centralia police responded about 4:20 p.m. yesterday to the 300 block of Lowe Street regarding an assault involving multiple subjects. The case is under investigation, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• A 22-year-old Onalaska woman who allegedly assaulted an employee at the 100 block of South Tower Avenue in Centralia was issued a summons for fourth-degree assault after officers were called just after 1 a.m. on Sunday, according to the Centralia Police Department.

BREAK-IN

• Computers were taken in a residential burglary at the 100 block of J Street reported about 4:15 p.m. yesterday, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• Police were called about 5:30 p.m. on Saturday for a residential burglary at the 1000 block of Elm Street in Centralia.

• Numerous items and a vehicle were taken in an apparent burglary in Centralia, according to a report made to police from the 500 block of Lakeshore Drive about 3 p.m. on Saturday.

• A deputy called about 10:20 a.m. on Saturday to a residence under construction at the 100 block of River Heights Road in Centralia because a tankless water heater and an air compressor were missing. The water heater had just recently been installed, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. The loss is estimated at $2,300, according to the sheriff’s office.

• A deputy called just before 8 a.m. on Friday for a break-in at the Glenoma store on the 8100 block of U.S. Highway 12 found a large window shattered and viewed images on surveillance images that led to a 17-year-old suspect, who allegedly threw a brick through the window, went inside and looked at magazines and took a pair of sunglasses and miscellaneous small items. The case is being referred to prosecutors for evaluation of charges of second-degree burglary, third-degree theft and third-degree malicious mischief, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

AUTO THEFT

• Centralia police took a report about noon yesterday of a Honda Civic stolen during the night from the 2600 block of Cooks Hill Road. The car was found undamaged, out in the county, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• A 46-year-old Winlock man was arrested on Friday after a 1994 Ford F150 pickup was discovered parked on property on the 300 block of Hawkins Road and deputies were told the man had been seen driving it the day before, following its disappearance from an automotive business sometime between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning. Curtis L. Pappan was booked into the Lewis County Jail for possession of a stolen vehicle, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

CAR PROWL

• Chehalis police were called about 7:10 p.m. yesterday to the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue where an individual reported he returned to his car after about 20 minutes of shopping and found someone had rummaged through it. A silver watch was missing, according to the Chehalis Police Department. A check of surveillance images showed a silver or brown sport utility had pulled up, a male got out and prowled the vehicle, according to police. The suspect SUV has a sunroof and a rack, police said.

• Centralia police were called about 7:15 p.m. on Friday to take a report of the theft of a firearm from a vehicle at the 300 block of Genge Street.

DRUGS

• Two individuals picked up on outstanding warrants at the 100 block of Harrison Avenue in Centralia about 6:15 p.m. on Saturday were arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Joseph D. Whitney-House, 18, and Steven D. Couch, 32, both Centralia area homeless persons, were booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• A shakedown of several cells at the Lewis County Jail led to the arrests of two women on Friday morning. Carly R. Holmes, 38, Chehalis was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and Danielle M. Toft, 24, of Chehalis, was arrested for possession of heroin, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

• A 22-year-old Chehalis man was arrested yesterday following an afternoon call from the 900 block of Logan Hill Road about three Stihl chainsaws getting stolen from a garage. A deputy tracked down the items at a Centralia pawn shop and contacted a suspect, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. Jacob D. Tanner was booked into the Lewis County Jail for residential burglary and trafficking in stolen property, according to the sheriff’s office.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY

• An individual called Centralia police about 12:25 p.m. yesterday to report that the afternoon before, an unknown female tried to break into his residence at the 2200 block of North Pearl Street. Minor damage was done to the door but no entry was made to the house, according to the Centralia Police Department.

AUTO THEFT

• Centralia police were contacted about 2:50 p.m. yesterday by an individual who reported her white 2001 Dodge Caravan was stolen from Centralia approximately one week earlier. The license plate is BHF 6752, according to the Centralia Police Department.

•  A retail theft involving multiple high valued items was reported from the 1300 block of Lum Road in Centralia just before 6 p.m. yesterday.

• Thea M. Smith, 37, of Tacoma, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree theft after police were called just before 11 a.m. yesterday to the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue, according to the Centralia Police Department.

DRUGS

• Sophea M. Delavergne, 40, of Winlock, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail on outstanding warrants late yesterday afternoon and a corrections officer allegedly subsequently found suspected methamphetamine on her person, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

• A traffic stop for expired tabs about 4:30 p.m. yesterday at the 600 block of Meier Road in which a motorist turned out to be driving with a suspended license led to an arrest for a violation of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act because of a small baggie of a white crystalized substance, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. Caitlin Allred, 24, from Winlock, was was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the sherif’s office.

• An officer called about 2:10 p.m. yesterday regarding a person passed out in the restroom of a restaurant at the 1200 block of Lum Road in Centralia arrested Raphael S. Baker, 40, for possession of heroin, according to the Centralia Police Department. Baker was booked into the Lewis County Jail.

• A 30-year-old Centralia man who allegedly punched two security officers while at Centralia Providence Hospital yesterday was arrested for third-degree assault. Officers called about 2:20 p.m. booked Tyler J. Lee into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• A 61-year-old man was contacted for investigation of third-degree assault after allegedly throwing a cup of water onto a staff member at a medical facility at the 1300 block of Alexander Street in Centralia yesterday afternoon. Gary A. Dipola, 61, of Chehalis, was released to be transported to another facility and the case is being referred to prosecutors for charging, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• Centralia police contacted about 8:35 a.m. yesterday began investigating a rape involving a juvenile female, according to the Centralia Police Department.

BURGLARY

• Police were called just after 8 p.m. yesterday to the 1200 block of Ham Hill Road in Centralia where an individual reported that sometime during the day an unknown person or persons entered her residence and stole money, credit cards, and two laptop computers. The case is under investigation, according to the Centralia Police Department.

AUTO THEFT

• Centralia police were called just before 6 o’clock this morning after a white 1994 Mazda RX7 went missing from its driveway on the 100 block of Benjamin Street. The vehicle was located and recovered about an hour later, unoccupied, at the Centralia Denny’s parking lot, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• Police were called about 7:40 p.m. yesterday to the 10 block of Southwest Second Street in Chehalis, where an initial report suggested a shotgun had been stolen from a vehicle.

• Chehalis police were called to the 2100 block of Southwest Olympic Drive for a vehicle prowl at about 3:45 p.m. yesterday. The back window was shattered but nothing appeared to be missing, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

FRAUD

• Chehalis police were contacted about 11:25 a.m. yesterday regarding fraudulent charges on an account. The case is under investigation, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

DRUGS

• A traffic stop about 4 p.m. yesterday at the 100 block of Salkum Road led to a motorist who was driving with a suspended license and then a search incident to his arrest, turned up a small baggie containing a crystalized substance. Christopher R. Kalista was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

• An 18-year-old Randle resident who denied any injury was taken to the hospital to be cleared before being booked into the Lewis County Jail for driving under the influence after wrecking his Ford Ranger yesterday evening at the 400 block of Meade Hill Road in Glenoma. A deputy dispatched about 5:25 p.m. contacted Keenes Embum, who reportedly said he’d had several beers earlier, had passed a vehicle, lost control of his truck and put it into a ditch, on its top, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

• A deputy responding about 12:50 p.m. yesterday to a rollover collision at the 700 block of Burchett Road found a Dodge Caravan on its side partially in the ditch, and a 60-year-old Onalaska driver smelling of alcohol, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. Clint E. Cooper allegedly admitted to smoking marijuana earlier and after he was extricated by emergency personnel, he was transported to the hospital according to the sheriff’s office. He was arrested for driving under the influence and then released, Chief Deputy Bruce Kimsey said.

STREET FIGHT

• Centralia police are investigating after being called to Centralia College Boulevard and Rock Street just after 7 p.m. yesterday where they learned three to four young men exited a vehicle and began fighting with several people who had been walking. One female was pushed to the ground and one male sustained minor injuries, according to the Centralia Police Department. The suspects ranged in age from 15 to 20, according to police.

BURGLARY

• A deputy was called about 1 p.m. yesterday by a property owner at the 400 block of Viewridge Road in Onalaska who said he’d gotten a call from a neighbor watching his property who had seen someone inside one of his trailers, with a crowbar. The neighbor yelled at the person who ran off into the woods and arriving deputies along with a K-9 found a suspect hiding in a nearby residence, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. Oganes J. Margaryan, 43, from Los Angeles, was arrested for second-degree burglary and booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the sheriff’s office.

AUTO THEFT

• A deputy was called about 8 a.m. yesterday to the 100 block of Doty Street where a 53-year-old man said he had been warming up his car when a male got into it and drove off, heading toward state Route 6. A deputy in the area stopped the 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix and arrested Eric M. Myhre, 33, of Chehalis, for vehicle theft, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. Myhre was booked into the Lewis County Jail. The car was returned to its owner.

DRUGS

• A deputy called about 11:20 p.m. yesterday about a stranger who ran into a woman’s garage at the 100 block of Reinseth Road in Winlock learned that he did so because he was scared from someone chasing him, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. When Alex E. Mackenzie was searched, suspected methamphetamine was found, according to the sheriff’s office. The 30-year-old Toledo man was was booked into the Lewis County Jail for possession of a controlled substance and a case for trespassing was referred to prosecutors, Chief Deputy Dusty Breen said.

• A 25-year-old Centralia woman contacted about 12:20 a.m. today about an outstanding warrant at Pearl and Pine street in Centralia was allegedly found with a small bindle of suspected methamphetamine. Briget J. Parker was arrested for possession of meth and was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• A traffic stop at Parkland and Southwest Interstate Avenue in Chehalis about 12:20 a.m. today led to an arrest for third-degree driving with a suspended license and possession of marijuana. Alicia L. Nichols, 20, from Tacoma, was cited and then released, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

• A 26-year-old Vancouver man suffered a possible concussion when the car he was driving went airborne and struck a guard rail as he exited northbound Interstate 5 at Mellen Street early this morning. The 2005 Infiniti G35 had come extremely close to a deputy’s vehicle on the freeway near exit 76 at about 12:23 a.m. and a pursuit ensued at speeds of more than 100 mph, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. Jeremy P. Dodd was treated at the hospital for his injuries and then arrested for attempting to elude and reckless driving, according to the sheriff’s office. Chief Deputy Bruce Kimsey said a 26-year-old woman from Tacoma was a passenger in the car. The Infiniti sustained major damage, according to Kimsey.

• A deputy dispatched about 7:10 p.m. yesterday for a vehicle into a ditch at Maurin and Rush Road ended up arresting the driver and the passenger for outstanding warrants. Warner S. Deleau, 52, was driving with a suspended license, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. The 1996 Nissan SX sustained major damage, according to the sheriff’s office. Passenger Jazmen J. Garcia, 24, from Morton, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine,  Chief Deputy Bruce Kimsey said. Both were booked into the Lewis County Jail.

VEHICLE THEFT

• A deputy was called about 3 p.m. yesterday regarding a beige 1986 Ford Ranger missing from behind a locked gate at the 300 block of Toledo-Vader Road. The truck had been donated to the Toledo Fire Department and is valued at about $300, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. It has a license plate reading B51245F, according to the sheriff’s office.

GUN THEFT

• A 45-year-old Chehalis man was arrested last night for allegedly stealing a Remington rifle from a relative’s home on the 1100 block of Koontz Road and then pawning it. Shay B. Howard was booked into the Lewis County Jail for  theft of a firearm and trafficking in stolen property, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

• Chehalis police were called just before 4 p.m. yesterday by an individual who reported a firearm was stolen from their vehicle.

CAR PROWL

• Chehalis police were called about 7:15 p.m. yesterday regarding a vehicle prowl that had occurred about an hour earlier at the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. An Android cell phone was taken, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

• Centralia police were called to the 1300 block of Alexander Street about 10:30 a.m. yesterday to take a report of the theft of cash from a locked drawer.
