HOME INVASION

• Police were called to the 1500 block of View Avenue in Centralia about 9:20 a.m. yesterday where a man said he heard someone knocking, didn’t answer because he thought it was a solicitor and soon afterwards, two men in their 20s barged in. The victim, a man in his 60s, yelled at them and they fled, according to the Centralia Police Department. The suspects were possibly driving a white Toyota RAV4-type vehicle, according to police.

GAME CAMS SWIPED

• A deputy was called around noon yesterday to the 100 block of Boshart Lane near Mossyrock where a woman reported someone came onto her property and stole four digital game-type cameras and a driveway sensor. The loss is estimated at $975, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

SECURITY IMAGES LEAD TO SUSPECT

• A 38-year-old man was arrested last night in connection with an early-morning burglary at the 100 block of Templeton Road outside of Toledo on Jan. 14. The victim reported a safe, three cell phones and two security cameras were stolen and a followup investigation with security footage led to a suspect, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. When a deputy contacted Vince P. Perazzo, he returned the phones, according to the sheriff’s office. He was booked into the Lewis County Jail for residential burglary. The safe had turned up down the road the next day, according to Chief Deputy Dusty Breen.

AUTO THEFT

• The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office took a report last night that a silver 1997 Dodge 1500 extended-cab pickup was stolen from Hampton Mill in Randle. The victim said he parked it at 6 p.m. and then at 9 p.m. the truck was gone, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

• A green 1993 Honda Accord was reported stolen just before 3 p.m. yesterday from the 2800 block of Russell Road in Centralia. It has a  license plate reading  ANS 1983, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• A car stolen from Portland was abandoned in the parking lot at the 2400 block of Borst Avenue in Centralia and recovered about 2:15 p.m. yesterday, according to the Centralia Police Department.

BATHROOM THEFT

• Chehalis police were called at 11:30 a.m. yesterday to a business on the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue where an individual said someone grabbed his bag from under the bathroom stall and he chased after the subject. Jordan N. White, 21, of Chehalis, was subsequently arrested for third-degree theft and obstructing (for allegedly giving a false name) and booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

FUEL THEFT

• An officer was called about 9:30 a.m. yesterday to take a report from the 1200 block of View Avenue in Centralia regarding the theft of gasoline from a pickup truck during the night.

VANDALISM

• Centralia police took a report last night that someone broke into a vehicle at the 900 block of South Scheuber Road in Centralia. The victim’s 28-year-old boyfriend is getting summonsed to appear in court for third-degree malicious mischief, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• Chehalis police were called at 7:45 a.m. yesterday about the rear window of a vehicle getting broken by a rock during the night, when it was parked in a carport behind a residence along the 600 block Southwest Pacific Avenue.

• Chehalis police were called at 11:43 a.m. yesterday to the 1100 block of Northwest Shoreline Drive where a woman said a vehicle had just intentionally run over her cat on the road. It was described as a bluish-green single-cab pickup truck, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

BREAK-INS CENTRALIA

• Police were called to a residential burglary at the 100 block of Jalyn Street in Centralia about 12:45 p.m. yesterday. Jewelry and collectibles were stolen, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• A deputy was called about 7:30 a.m. yesterday to take a report that someone had broken a padlock on a storage shed at the 2500 block of Sandra Avenue in Centralia and stole a gravel compactor, a Honda 5.5 HP motor and four cables of varying thicknesses and lengths. The loss is estimated at $2,800, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. The break-in occurred sometime since Friday, according to the sheriff’s office.

• Centralia police were called about 6:10 a.m. today to the 1100 block of North Pearl Street following the discovery a padlock to a shed had been cut. Exactly what might be missing is not yet known, according to the Centralia Police Department.

AUTO THEFT

• Centralia police were called just after midnight to take a report that a white 1993 Honda Accord had been stolen from the 200 block of North Tower Avenue. It has a license plate reading AOJ 1873, according to the Centralia Police Department.

MAIL THEFT

• A deputy was called about 10:45 a.m. yesterday to take a report of mail stolen from a mailbox on the 3200 block of Jackson Highway in Chehalis. Taken sometime between 11 a.m. Jan. 14 and noon the following day was an $1,100 cashiers check and a trip reservation coupon, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

BAD BILLS

• A counterfeit twenty dollar bill was recovered just after 8 p.m. yesterday a t the 1100 block of Eckerson Road in Centralia, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• Centralia police were called at 10 a.m. yesterday to the 300 block of North Tower Avenue to take a report that counterfeit money had been received there.

STOLEN VEHICLE

• A deputy was called to the 2000 block of Taylor Street in Centralia about 4:15 p.m. on Saturday where a woman reported her blue 1993 Chevrolet pickup truck vanished shortly after she parked it in a friend’s driveway. It has a license plate reading B83249N, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

STOLEN BANK CARDS

• Police on Saturday detained two people in relation to a shoplifting investigation at the 1200 block of Lum Road in Centralia and allegedly discovered they had stolen credit cards. Tanya R. Griffith, 41 of Centralia, and Randy J. Fjeld, 44 of Renton, were arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree possession of stolen property, according to the Centralia Police Department. Police report Fjeld also had meth in his possession.

DRUGS

• A 53-year-old Centralia man contacted about 2:20 p.m. on Friday at the 100 block of Downie Road in Chehalis and taken in to custody for an outstanding warrant was arrested also for possession of methamphetamine. Randy J. Toups was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

REPORT OF CHILD ABUSE

• Centralia police were called on Friday afternoon to take a report about suspected molestation of two small children, according to the Centralia Police Department. The case was turned over to detectives, according to police.

UNWELCOME VISITORS

• A deputy was called about 6:30 p.m. on Saturday to the 100 block of Wilcox Road in Salkum where a woman allegedly had let herself in to an acquaintance’s home, cooked and ate some of her food, went through her wallet and fell asleep on her couch, while the resident was not there. Georgia L. Miller, 56, from Salkum, was located, arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for residential burglary, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

• Centralia police responded to an approximately 1:10 a.m. call on Friday to the 1300 block of Lakeshore Drive where they arrested a 28-year-old homeless man after motel guests woke up to find him in their room. Michael J. Miller was booked into the Lewis County Jail for first-degree trespassing, according to the Centralia Police Department.

CAR PROWL

• Centralia police were called just after 9 p.m. on Saturday for a vehicle prowl at the 300 block of South Cedar Street. A wallet and cell phone were taken, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• An officer was called just after 7 p.m. on Saturday to the Twin City Town Center in Chehalis where a shopper returned to her vehicle after being parked for 10 minutes and discovered someone had taken a multi-colored, metallic looking wallet from the glove box area, according to the Chehalis Police Department. The brand is Hobo, according to police.

• Chehalis police were called at 12:45 p.m. on Friday to the 10 block of Northeast Division Street where someone had prowled a car and tried to remove its passenger seat, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

FAKE BILLS

• Chehalis police were called about 10:30 a.m. yesterday to the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue regarding the receipt of four counterfeit $20 bills.

• Centralia police were called to the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue about 11:50 a.m. yesterday to take a report of the receipt of a counterfeit bill the day before.

• Police were called just after noon on Saturday to a store on the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue in Centralia regarding the receipt of two counterfeit $20 bills.

• Centralia police were called to a retail store on the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue in Centralia at 7:45 a.m. on Friday regarding two counterfeit bills being accepted there.

ON THE ROAD, OFF THE ROAD

• A deputy was called about 2:45 a.m. today to the 500 block of Park Road near Winlock where a Toyota 4Runner had left the roadway, broke a utility pole and left power lines down, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. The truck had struck a mailbox and damaged two PUD boxes, according to the sheriff’s office. No driver was located, Chief Deputy Dusty Breen said.
