BURGLARY AND THEFT
• Chehalis police were called to a coffee stand on the 2300 block of Northeast Kresky Avenue about 11 a.m. on Sunday for a break-in. It wasn’t immediately clear if anything was missing, according to the Chehalis Police Department.
• Officers called about 11 a.m. on Friday learned that three boys forcibly took another kid’s (unspecified) property and threw it out the window of a school bus. In the case associated with the 900 block of Johnson Road in Centralia, three juvenile male were booked into the Lewis County Juvenile Detention Center for first-degree theft, according to the Centralia Police Department. The item was not recovered, according to police.
• Chehalis police were called about 10:50 a.m. on Friday to take a report of the theft of a blue 2005 Chevrolet Silverado from a dealership at the 1000 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.
• Centralia police were called to the 900 block of South Scheuber Road about 10:25 a.m. on Friday to investigate the possible theft of funds from an elderly person.
• Centralia police arrested a 24-year-old person without an address after discovering he broke in to a house on the 300 block of South Silver Street, used the shower and stole bathroom items. Officers called about 7:40 a.m. on Friday booked Jacob S. Drury into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree burglary, according to the Centralia Police Department.
• Chehalis police about 11:45 p.m. on Thursday to the 1300 block of Northwest River Road arrested 29-year-old Jason Cothren of Winlock for second-degree burglary and second-degree theft, according to the Chehalis Police Department. He was was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to police.
• Centralia police were called just before 6 p.m. on Thursday to take a report that a cell phone and bank card were stolen by an unknown person in a case associated with the 900 block of Johnson Road.
• Centralia police took a report of a vehicle prowl at the 900 block of South Scheuber Road about 3 p.m. on Thursday in which the victim said he was missing numerous, high valued items.
VIOLENCE
• Chehalis police were called about 6 p.m. on Saturday about an alleged assault in a case associated with the 1300 block of Northwest River Road.
• Chehalis police were called about 5:25 a.m. on Friday to take a report of an incident said to have occurred at the 900 block of Southwest Cascade Avenue ended up arresting a 27-year-old man for second-degree domestic assault and unlawful imprisonment. John T. Minor was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to police.
• Centralia police called regarding threatening text messages about 10:35 p.m. on Thursday in a case associated with the 2300 block of Eureka Avenue are sending the case to prosecutors for possible charges of felony harassment for a 39-year-old Centralia man, according to the Centralia Police Department.
DRUGS
• Chehalis police arrested a 22-year-old Winlock resident shortly after 3:12 a.m. on Friday at the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue for a violation of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act Kendall Steveson was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Chehalis Police Department.
• Officers were called to the 1800 block of Cooks Hill Road in Centralia about 2:15 p.m. on Thursday to investigate suspected methamphetamine discovered inside a purse.
VANDALISM
• Chehalis police were called about 8:20 a.m. on Saturday to the 100 block of Northeast Hampe Way where someone had shot a vehicle with a paintball.
• Chehalis police called to the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue about 10:10 p.m. on Thursday on a reported violation of a no contact order ended up arresting a 32-year-old Longview resident who had allegedly broken the window out of a vehicle. Joshua C. Meikle allegedly was found in possession of drugs and paraphernalia and was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Chehalis Police Department.
• Officers called to the 300 block of Southwest Third Street in Chehalis about 8:20 a.m. on Thursday regarding a person attempting to kick open the door later found their suspect sleeping on the railroad tracks. Don K. Gonzales, 29, from Chehalis, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for third-degree malicious mischief, according to the Chehalis Police Department.
ON THE ROAD, OFF THE ROAD
• An attempted traffic stop about 1 a.m. on Sunday at the 500 block of Southwest Cascade Avenue in Chehalis ended with an arrest on Highway 603 for attempting to elude, obstructing and resisting arrest after the vehicle stopped running, according to the Chehalis Police Department. Calvin C. Reece, 45, Centralia, was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to police.
