MORNING HONDA THEFT REPORT
• Centralia police were called about 6:25 a.m. today after a Honda Accord was discovered missing from the 1100 block of Alder Street. The green 1996 model was taken during the night, according to the Centralia Police Department.
PROSECUTORS: WOMAN FORCES COMPANION TO LET HER DRIVE
• Molly E. Moulton, 22, was arrested after she allegedly took the keys from the driver of the car in which she was a passenger and drove them from the Morton area to the Centralia area to a house, and then back to Morton. The female whose car it was said she had told Moulton no, and that on the way back, when she tried to re-claim the keys by turning off the vehicle, Moulton began hitting her and told she was going to crash the car and kill them both, according to court documents. Once Moulton parked at her parent’s home in Morton and fell asleep, the female got her keys back, prosecutors stated. The female reported the incident to police on Thursday, and said it they had been out and about driving since the afternoon before. When a Morton police officer went to the parent’s home where Moulton was staying, her father asked him to search her room and suspected methamphetamine was found, according to prosecutors. Moulton, whose court documents show she resides in Long Beach, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for taking a motor vehicle without permission. Lewis County Deputy Prosecutor Kevin Nelson charged her yesterday with possession of meth and first-degree theft and told the judge the events were somewhere between second-degree robbery and theft. Her bail was set at $10,000.
BREAK-IN CENTRALIA
• Centralia police responded to a 9:30 p.m. call yesterday of a second-degree burglary at a residence on the 1500 block of Winterwood Drive in Centralia. Jewelry and a drill were stolen, according to the Centralia Police Department.
SECOND-DEGREE THEFT
• A backpack and cash were among the items stolen from the 1200 block of Mellen Street, according to a report made to police about 5:45 p.m. yesterday.
CAR PROWL
• Police called to the 1000 block of Elm Street in Centralia yesterday took a report of multiple items stolen in a vehicle prowl during the night.
• Centralia police were called about 3:30 p.m. yesterday for a vehicle prowl at the 500 block of North Rock Street. Wheel locks were stolen during the night, according to the Centralia Police Department.
• Police were called to the 700 block of H Street in Centralia about 8:25 a.m. yesterday for a vehicle prowl. A purse was missing, according to the Centralia Police Department.
DRUGS
• A 52-year-old Centralia resident was charged yesterday with two counts of delivery of methamphetamine, allegedly selling meth twice since March 1 to an informant working with the Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team. The incidents occurred in Lewis County, according to court documents. Sam W. Currier, 52, on Wednesday was seen by a detective driving and was then contacted at or near his home in Centralia and booked into the Lewis County Jail. A judge yesterday afternoon set his bail at $20,000.
