CENTRALIA HOME BURGLED
• Someone broke into a home on the 2100 block of Salzer Valley Road in Centralia yesterday between 12:30 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. taking a 32-inch Emerson television, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. The victim noted some of her belongings were moved around in her bedroom as well, according to the sheriff’s office.
TOLEDO RESIDENCE BREAK-IN
• Deputies responding to a burglary alarm just after 1 p.m. yesterday at the 500 block of Jackson Highway South in Toledo found the front door wide open but nobody inside the home, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. There was a hole through the front door window and a pry mark on the door, but nothing missing, according to the sheriff’s office. The alarm is believed to have scared the person away, Chief Civil Deputy Stacy Brown said.
CHEHALIS SHED BURGLED
• Chehalis police were called about 8:30 a.m. yesterday about tools and equipment missing from a shed on the 300 block of Southwest Third Street.
MONEY MISSING
• Police were called to the Chehalis Post Office yesterday by a male who said his cousin had sent him 12 one-hundred dollar bills via certified mail but the envelope had been opened and taped shut again and the money was missing. Further details were not readily available.
OTHER THEFT
• Chehalis police took a report of a second-degree theft yesterday afternoon from the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. Further details were not readily available.
• Chehalis police were called yesterday morning by a female who said someone else picked up her prescription from the 500 block of South Market Boulevard. Further details were not readily available.
WRECK
• A trailer behind a semi-truck overturned on Interstate 5 in Chehalis early this morning blocking all lanes. No injuries were reported from the approximately 4:15 a.m. accident southbound near West Street but the roadway was not cleared until just after 7 a.m., according to authorities. Ricardo J. Vila, 34, from Vancouver, went off the roadway to the right, due to inattention, and overcorrected causing the wreck, according to the Washington State Patrol. His 2015 Freightliner tractor was undamaged, but the trailer totaled, according to the state patrol. He was to be issued a citation for negligent driving, the investigating trooper reports.
