DRUGS

• Chehalis police were called when firefighters tending to a 31-year-old patient spotted a bag of white powder the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 10 p.m. on Saturday. Christina R. Montgomery, of Olympia, was subsequently arrested for possession of methamphetamine and booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

• Chehalis police called to the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 1 p.m. on Saturday for a suspected shoplifter located two small  plastic bags containing a white crystal substance that field tested positive for meth and arrested the suspect for possession of methamphetamine and third-degree theft. Robert J. Simkins, 36, from Centralia, was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

• A 17-year-old Chehalis boy was arrested for possession of methamphetamine when a search incident to his arrest for suspected shoplifting at the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue about 5:45 p.m. on Friday turned up a plastic bag with a white crystal substance that field tested positive for meth and a smoking device, according to the Chehalis Police Department. He was booked into the Lewis County Juvenile Detention Center, according to police.

BURGLARY

• Someone stole a small early 1900’s Sears wood stove from a shed at the 2900 block of Borst Avenue in Centralia, according to a report made to police about 4 p.m. on Friday.

• Centralia police were called about 6:20 p.m. on Friday to take a report that a known person went into a residence in violation of a protection order at the 500 block of Yew Street and took items.

VEHICLE THEFT

• Centralia police were called to the 200 block of South Tower Avenue just before 10 a.m. on Saturday where a 1948 Plymouth Deluxe Coupe was reported as stolen by a business that had closed its doors recently.

•  A copper 2008 Harley Davidson Ultra Glide motorcycle was stolen during the night from the 700 block of North Tower Avenue in Centralia, according to a report made to police about 8:20 a.m. on Saturday. It has an Oregon license plate reading 9041712, according to the Centralia Police Department.

VEHICLE PROWL

• Centralia police were called about 6:20 p.m. yesterday to a report of the theft of an LED light bar from a vehicle at the 800 block of South Silver Street.

• Centralia police were called at 12:25 p.m. on Saturday regarding the theft of clothing, keys and paperwork from an unlocked vehicle at the 600 block of Jefferson Street.

VANDALISM

• Chehalis police were called yesterday morning to the 500 block of Southwest William Avenue to take a report that at about 10 p.m. on Friday someone threw a rock, damaging a home’s window.

• Chehalis police were called just before 11 a.m. yesterday to take  report that someone had vandalized a car while it was parked in a lot at the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.

• Police were called to the 100 block of North Tower Avenue in Centralia about 3:30 p.m. on Friday where an individual wearing all black was observed kicking, and causing damage to, a parked vehicle. The suspect has been identified and police are looking for him, according to the Centralia Police Department.

ASSAULT BY CHILD

• Centralia police were called about 11:15 a.m. on Friday to the 800 block of Field Avenue where an 11-year-old allegedly punched another student and a faculty member. The case is being referred to prosecutors for possible charges of fourth-degree assault, according to the Centralia Police Department.

ON THE ROAD, OFF THE ROAD

• A 43-year-old Oakville resident was arrested for driving under the influence after a two-vehicle collision at the 1100 block of Reynolds Avenue in Centralia at about 5:10 p.m. on Friday. The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office says Bernie J. Madison was behind the wheel of a Ford Ranger when he pulled out, failed to yield and collided with a Nissan Altima. The 19-year-old driver of the Nissan was transported to Providence Centralia Hospital with minor injuries and Madison was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the sheriff’s office. There were two juvenile passengers in the Nissan, Chief Deputy Breen said.

DATE LEADS TO LOSS OF WALLET

• Centralia police were called about 3:25 a.m. today when a woman reported her wallet and cell phone were stolen when she met up with a male at a motel on the 1000 block of Eckerson Road, who she had met the online dating service, Plenty of Fish. She only knew his first name, but at least one bank card and cash were taken as well, according to the Centralia Police Department.

ASSAULT GREEN HILL SCHOOL

• Chehalis police were called to Green Hill School yesterday afternoon to take a report of an incident from two weeks earlier in which a student-inmate allegedly kicked a staff member. The case is being forwarded to prosecutors for custodial assault, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

CAR PROWL

• Centralia police were called about 9:30 a.m. yesterday regarding a wallet stolen from an unlocked vehicle at the 400 block of South Rock Street.

DRUGS

• A 54-year-old Toledo man was arrested for possession of methamphetamine when a “glass smoking device” was discovered after he was detained for third-degree driving with a suspended license at about 10:45 p.m. yesterday in the 200 block of St. Helens Way in Winlock. Shane S. Speers was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

ON THE ROAD, OFF THE ROAD

• A 35-year-old driver and his 28-year-old passenger were taken to Providence Centralia Hospital yesterday after he lost control of his pickup truck on an icy corner at the 1200 block of Pe Ell-McDonald Road west of Chehalis. Deputies called about 4 p.m. to the scene found the Chevrolet K20 had rolled and landed on its side in the eastbound lane, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. The truck sustained major damage and the driver suffered possible broken bones, sheriff’s Chief Deputy Dusty Breen said.

• A 66-year-old man was in serious condition yesterday after a vehicle collision at Yew and Main streets in Centralia involving a medical emergency in which a bystander performed CPR before the fire department arrived, according to Riverside Fire Authority. The Centralia Police Department reports an officer was dispatched to a two-vehicle collision with no injuries at that location at 2:47 p.m. The victim was transported to Providence Centralia Hospital and later transferred to St Peters Hospital in Olympia, according to the fire department. RFA tweeted it was called at 2:45 p.m. to that location for a one-car collision.

GUN CRIME

• A 19-year-old Toledo resident who allegedly was suffering from mental health conditions and pointed a gun at two family members last night was arrested for first-degree assault, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies called about 8 p.m. to the 500 block of Evans Road in Toledo were eventually able to contact Nicholas W. Nichols and book him into the Lewis County Jail, sheriff’s Chief Deputy Dusty Breen said.

RANDLE BURGLARY SUSPECTS BOOKED

• The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office reports that yesterday they arrested two suspects in a Nov. 21 break-in to a home in the 100 block of Beryl Road in Randle in which numerous pieces of jewelry were stolen. Booked into the Lewis County Jail for first-degree burglary was Jennifer A. Rasmussen, 18 and for second-degree burglary was Jason A. Rowland, 27, according to the sheriff’s office. Both are Randle residents.

OTHER THEFT

• Centralia police were called just before 5 p.m. yesterday to take a report from an individual who said he was being extorted for money by someone he met on Facebook.

DRUGS

• A 53-year-old homeless man taken into custody for outstanding warrants just after 2 p.m. yesterday at Buckner and Locust streets in Centralia was allegedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine. Timothy L. Baxter was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department.

VANDALISM

• Centralia police were called just after 3 p.m. yesterday to take a report of windows damaged with a BB gun at the 600 block of South Tower Avenue.

• Police were called about 11:10 a.m. yesterday to take a report from a female that her ex-boyfriend had threatened to kill her, in a case associated with the 800 block of West Pine Street in Centralia. The investigation is ongoing, according to the Centralia Police Department.

BUSINESS BREAK-IN

• Centralia police were called about 3 p.m. yesterday regarding a burglary to a business at the 200 block of East Third Street. The investigation is ongoing, according to the Centralia Police Department.

RESIDENTIAL BREAK-IN

• A deputy responded yesterday afternoon to the 100 block of Enchanted Lane in Vader to take a report of the theft of a John Deere riding lawnmower and an amplifier sometime between Oct. 28 and Nov. 27.

FRAUD

• Chehalis police were called to the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at noon yesterday to take a report about a possibly forged prescription.

AUTO THEFT

• Centralia police were called just after 7 o’clock this morning by an individual who reported someone tried to steal his vehicle from the 1000 block of North Scheuber Road. The owner discovered the car was broken into an an attempt was made to punch the ignition, according to the Centralia Police Department.

VEHICLE PROWL

• A miter saw was reported stolen out of the back of a pickup truck parked at the 1400 block of Lewis Street in Centralia just after 3 p.m. yesterday.

• Centralia police were called at 12:30 p.m. yesterday for a vehicle prowl at the 1200 block of Johnson Road. Nothing was taken, according to the Centralia Police Department.

AIR SCARE

• The Chehalis Fire Department headed for the airport yesterday after a 911 call from a pilot coming from the north, with an engine out, who said he did not think he could make it to the airport. Acting Capt. Kevin Reynolds said deputies from Lewis and Thurston counties as well as personnel from Riverside Fire Authority went out looking for the plane, but it was not found and never showed up. A firefighter went up in a private plane from the airport to act as a spotter, but nothing was located, he said.The last they knew, a phone call came in to the airport in Olympia, by a person who said he was the pilot, that he had landed in a field and he was fine, but would not identify himself, Reynolds said.

BURGLARY CENTRALIA

• Jason W. Olson, 43, of Chehalis was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail this morning for attempted burglary after he was allegedly captured on surveillance video attempting to break into a closed business in a case associated with the 100 block of Harrison Avenue in Centralia, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• A deputy was called to the 600 block of Grove Street in Centralia early this morning where someone had broken into a shop building and stolen a bench top belt sander sometime between Saturday and 1 a.m. today, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. It appeared the intruder may have “staged” other items to get later, according to the sheriff’s office.

• A refrigerator and a parlor stove were reported stolen out of a vacant house at the 1300 block of Harrison Avenue in Centralia, according to a report made to police just after noon yesterday.

• Centralia police were called about noon yesterday for a break-in to a shed at the 1200 block of South Scheuber Road. Missing is a Stihl MS391 chainsaw, according to the Centralia Police Department.

BURGLARY PACKWOOD

• A deputy was called about 11 a.m. yesterday to the 100 block of Wapiti Trail in Packwood where a woman reported an individual made death threats to her as well as forced his way into her outbuilding and stole a Stihl chainsaw. A suspect was located and arrested for felony harassment and for burglary as well as an outstanding warrant, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. The chainsaw was recovered and Robert P. Werth, 51, from Packwood, was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the sheriff’s office.

BURGLARY CHEHALIS

• Chehalis police were called about 10:20 a.m. yesterday by an individual who said he discovered the day before that someone had broken into his vacant house on the 300 block of Northeast Adams Avenue. A window was broken but nothing appeared to be missing, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

AUTO THEFT

• Chehalis police were called about 10:20 p.m. yesterday by a 41-year-old Puyallup man at the 1300 block of Northwest State Avenue who said he had asked someone to drive him home in his car, but they ran into a sign and when they stopped so he could make a phone call, they took off with his vehicle. The car was later found abandoned, with front end damage, on Interstate 5 near milepost 65, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

CAR PROWL

• Chehalis police were called for a vehicle prowl about 11:30 a.m. yesterday at the 200 block of Northeast Adams Avenue. A diaper bag had been removed from the unlocked vehicle but it was subsequently located in a neighbor’s driveway with nothing missing, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

FAKE BILL

• An officer was called about 1:10 p.m. yesterday to a convenience store at the 600 block of South Tower Avenue in Centralia where a counterfeit $20 bill had been passed.

DISCONCERTING MESSAGE

• Chehalis police were contacted just before 10 a.m. yesterday by an employee at a collection agency on the 700 block of South Market Boulevard who reported they had received an email from an individual saying he was going to “commit some murders”. An officer reviewed it and spoke to the sender and determined no crime was committed, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

FREEWAY HIT AND RUN

• Centralia police were called about 5:30 p.m. yesterday following a collision on the freeway’s collector-distributor lane near Harrison Avenue when the suspect vehicle followed the victim vehicle toward a parking lot but then fled.

CAR DOWN EMBANKMENT

• A 68-year-old motorist was injured when his car traveled down a 20-foot embankment and came to rest against trees along the 900 block of Lincoln Creek Road outside Centralia yesterday. Deputies responding about 8:15 a.m. indicate the Toppenish man was taken to Providence Centralia Hospital for treatment related to neck, back and head pain. His 1995 Chevrolet Cavalier was totaled, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

WRONG WAY DRIVER HITS COP CAR

• A 25-year-old motorist who allegedly drove the wrong way on North Gold Street in Centralia and collided with a Centralia police car was arrested early yesterday for driving under the influence plus hit and run, according to the Centralia Police Department. It happened shortly after 2 a.m. and both vehicles were damaged but nobody was hurt, according to police. Dillon S. Lindsey, 25, of Centralia, was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to police.

POLICE PURSUIT

• A 48-year-old Tacoma woman was arrested for attempt to elude after an episode about 11:15 p.m. on Saturday in Centralia in which she allegedly sped away from an officer when the officer tried to stop her for traveling the wrong way on the road, according to the Centralia Police Department. The chase was associated with Mellen Street and Harrison Avenue, according to police. Sophia M. Roses was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to police.

THEFT SUSPECT WRECKS

• Workers with the state Department of Transportation followed a pickup truck where the driver was suspected of stealing a cattle gate on Thursday afternoon until it crashed on state Route 7 near milepost 9, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. The suspect fled on foot and was not located but a meth pipe was found on the floorboard of the vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office. The suspect has been identified as a 48-year-old Aberdeen resident and the case will be forwarded to prosecutors for evaluation of charges of third-degree theft and a violation of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act, Chief Deputy Dusty Breen said.

PHYSICAL VIOLENCE

• A 53-year-old Centralia woman who allegedly bit her boyfriend was arrested for fourth-degree assault after police were called about 12:15 a.m. yesterday to the 600 block of H Street in Centralia. Kim D. Elliott was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• Centralia police called to Providence Centralia Hospital arrested a 51-year-old man who allegedly threw an item at an employee and arrested him for fourth-degree assault at about 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Darren L. Fullerton, 51, of Centralia, was booked into the Lewis County Jail,  according to the Centralia Police Department.

INTRUDER

• Centralia police were called to the 2700 block of Russell Road when an individual arrived home to find someone else inside about 6:25 p.m. on Friday. The resident had discovered an interior door locked which should not have been locked and heard a male and a female voice in the home, according to the Centralia Police Department. The intruder(s) fled out the back door, according to police.

FIREARMS MISSING

• Deputies are investigating an estimated $20,000 worth of firearms reported stolen from the trunk of a vehicle at the 2700 block of Graf Road in Centralia yesterday. The 21-year-old Centralia man said he was transporting them for his grandfather and there were seven to nine guns taken, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

AUTO THEFT

• Centralia police were called just before noon on Saturday to take a report of the overnight theft of a white 2014 Chevrolet Malibu from the 500 block of West Center Street. The car was later located in Grays Harbor County abandoned, after it left the roadway and drove off an embankment, according to the Centralia Police Department.

MORE THEFT

• A 40-year-old Winlock woman arrested for suspected shoplifting at Wal-Mart was subsequently arrested also for identity theft after police discovered she had given someone else’s name as her own yesterday afternoon. Sophea M Delavergne was was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

• A black 26-inch Schwinn bicycle was reported stolen at the 100 block of South Oak Street in Centralia about 9:40 p.m. on Friday.

• Centralia police took a report from the 700 block of North Washington Avenue about 6:35 p.m. on Friday regarding the unauthorized use of a debit card over the previous several weeks.

• Chehalis police were called about 11:30 a.m. on Friday by a woman who left her purse at a business at the Twin City Town Center and when she returned, it was gone.

• A purse that was left on a driveway at the 2600 block of Seward Avenue in Centralia was reported stolen about 10:30 a.m. on Friday.

CAR PROWL

• A computer and an iPad were stolen from a vehicle at the 1000 block of J Street in Centralia, according to a report made to police about 6:30 a.m. today.

• Chehalis police were called about 2:15 p.m. on Sunday to the 600 block of Northwest Hawthorne Place where someone had gotten into a vehicle and stole bank cards and cash.

• Police were called for a car prowl about 4:20 p.m. on Saturday at the 700 block of Allen Street in Centralia. Its window was broken and a red/tan Coach purse was stolen, according to the Centralia Police Department.

DRUGS

• Police called about 3 p.m. on Friday to the 800 block of Eshom Road in Centralia arrested a 17-year-old boy for alleged possession of marijuana at the school, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• Police responded to the 800 block of Main Avenue in Morton at about 2:40 a.m. last Thursday to assist the fire department regarding a male that had fallen into the Tilton River. The officer located the individual and escorted him back to the other responders, according to the Morton Police Department.

VANDALISM

• Chehalis police arrested a 33-year-old man who allegedly broke an apartment window and climbed inside at the 100 block of Southwest Fifth Street at about 11:45 a.m. on Saturday. Matthew E. Eastman reportedly was confused, said this was not his place and it was not, according to the Chehalis Police Department. He was booked into the Lewis County Jail for third-degree malicious mischief and first-degree trespassing, according to police.

RESIDENTIAL FIRE

• Firefighters were called on Saturday evening for a fire at a mobile home off of state Route 507 behind DJs market and then another fire in a mobile home on Sunday afternoon on Vantine Road, according to South Thurston Fire and EMS. Administrative Chief Tina Vanderhoof said she didn’t think anyone was injured in either fire and was not certain about the extent of damage.

ASSAULT

• A 47-year-old Centralia woman who allegedly punched a stranger yesterday was arrested for fourth-degree assault, according to the Centralia Police Department. Officers called at 1 p.m. to the 100 block of North Tower Avenue arrested Michelle D. Henning, and then released her pending court, according to police. The victim was reportedly uninjured.

• Chehalis police were called at about noon yesterday to Green Hill School to take a report of an alleged custodial assault occurring on Nov. 10.

BURGLARY CHEHALIS

• Chehalis police were called this morning to the 100 block of Southwest 12th Street where an individual reported that sometime between 2 a.m. and 6:30 a.m., someone entered the enclosed porch of her home and stole a telescope.

CAR PROWL

• Centralia police were called about 6:10 a.m. today to the 200 block of North Ash Street where a vehicle was broken into during the night and an LED light was stolen.

• Police were called about 9:20 a.m. yesterday to the 2600 block of Cooks Hill Road in Centralia where someone broke into someone else’s vehicle and stole two Mexico passports and the registration.

• Centralia police were called to the 200 block of North Ash Street about 8:45 a.m. yesterday to take a report of a vehicle being broken into. Nothing appeared to have been stolen, according to the Centralia Police Department.

DRUGS

• Two people arrested yesterday afternoon for shoplifting at the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue in Centralia were also arrested for having drugs on them, according to the Centralia Police Department. Officers were called about 4:40 p.m. and ended up booking  into the Lewis County Jail Duane L. Pines, 31, of Renton, for possession of methamphetamine and  Johnny R. George II, 31, of Federal Way, for possession of meth and heroin, according to police.

• Police called about 1:55 p.m. yesterday to the 800 block of Eshom Road in Centralia arrested two high school students for alleged possession and consumption of marijuana at the school, according to the Centralia Police Department.
