KNIFE SCARE

• Centralia police were contacted about 7:50 p.m. on Saturday by an individual who said they were threatened and chased by a known subject with a knife in the area of the 100 block of South Silver Street. The case is under investigation, according to the Centralia Police Department.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

•  Centralia police arrested a 40-year-old man for allegedly punching his wife in the face several times during an argument after officers were called to the 2400 block of Seward Avenue at about 2:10 a.m. on Saturday. John D. Lopes Jr. of Centralia was booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree assault, according to the Centralia Police Department. A man with the same name and the same age had been arrested for malicious mischief after police were called to the 1000 block of Eckerson Road about 11:55 p.m. on Friday, as he had allegedly sliced a tire on his wife’s car, according to police.

CUSTODIAL ASSAULT

• Chehalis police were asked by Green Hill School on Friday to investigate an incident from Sept. 3 in which an 18-year-old student-inmate, from Auburn, allegedly shoved a male staff member knocking the staff member to the ground.

• Police were asked on Friday to investigate an incident from Sept. 13 at Green Hill School in which a 19-year-old student-inmate allegedly struck a male staff member, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

BURGLARY AND THEFT

• Centralia police were called to the 400 block of West Walnut Street about 7:20 p.m. on Saturday where a security guard caught a male attempting to break into a building. The suspect ran off and was not located, according to the Centralia Police Department. The case is under investigation.

• Chehalis police were called to a gym on the 10 block of Southwest Chehalis Avenue about 3:10 p.m. on Saturday where a backpack left in an unlocked locker went missing, but was located in a dressing room, minus bank cards.

• A business at the 1400 block of South Gold Street at about 10:25 a.m. on Saturday reported the theft of leased/rented property, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• Centralia police were called about 7:45 p.m. on Friday by an individual who reported the theft of her wallet from her workplace on the 1400 block of South Gold Street. The wallet was subsequently located about 11:30 p.m. alongside the road in the 2100 block of North National Avenue in Chehalis, but missing money and credit cards, according to the Centralia and Chehalis police departments.

• Police were called just before 2 p.m. on Friday to take a report of the theft of a passport from the 500 block of South Pearl Street in Centralia.

AUTO THEFT

• A green 1997 Honda Accord  was reported stolen about 2:20 a.m. on Sunday from the 200 block of North Diamond Street in Centralia. The car has a license plate reading BJE 6852, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• A 39-year-old Centralia resident was arrested about 12:25 a.m. on Saturday when he was allegedly discovered to be driving a vehicle that had just been reported as stolen in a case associated with the 1300 block of Harrison Avenue in Centralia. Cyrus J. Robinson was booked into the Lewis County Jail for theft of a motor vehicle, according to the Centralia Police Department.

CAR PROWL

• A 32-piece wrench set, a box containing oil, flares and a lug wrench were stolen from a locked vehicle at the 200 block of West Magnolia Street in Centralia, according to a report made to police about 12:20 a.m. today.

• Chehalis police were called about 7 p.m. on Saturday to the 1100 block of Southwest Sylvenus Street where someone had broken the driver’s side window and stolen a purse from a vehicle parked there.

• An individual reported about 11:35 a.m. on Friday that someone attempted to break into his vehicle at the 1100 block of West Plum Street in Centralia and damaged the door lock.

• At about 9:35 a.m. on Friday, police took a report at the 2000 block of Borst Avenue in Centralia where someone had broken the window of a parked car and then stolen a purse from inside.

• Centralia police were called to the 2000 block of Borst Avenue in Centralia about 9:15 a.m. on Friday where someone had broke the window of a vehicle and stole a purse.

DRUG VIOLATION

• A 38-year-old Centralia resident arrested for an outstanding warrant about 7:45 p.m. on Sunday at Silver and Walnut streets in Centralia was also arrested for possession of methamphetamine, according to the Centralia Police Department. John D. Lopez  was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to police.

• Chehalis police and aid were called about 3:10 p.m. on Sunday to the 300 block of Southwest Third Street for a suspected overdose and a 27-year-old Chehalis woman was subsequently arrested for inhaling toxic fumes, according to the Chehalis Police Department. Danielle L. Weaver was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to police.

ASSAULT

• Chehalis police making a welfare check at the 1300 block of Northwest River Street about 2:20 p.m. yesterday conducted an investigation and this morning made an arrest for second-degree assault. Further details were not available today.

BREAK-IN CHEHALIS

• Police were called about 6:25 p.m. yesterday for a burglary at the 300 block of Southwest Riverside Drive in Chehalis in which someone cut a chain on a gate, entered an impound lot and entered at least four vehicles, removing at least one battery.

THEFT

• A black Nissan 300Z stolen out of Portland was located in a parking lot at the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue in Chehalis following an investigation after a shoplifting suspect getting booked at the jail yesterday was found to have car titles for Oregon vehicles in his pocket as well as “smoothed” keys. He said he’d purchased vehicles at an auction, according to the Chehalis Police Department. Christopher R. Brown, 26, from Warrenton, Oregon, was booked for third-degree theft, and also for possession of a stolen vehicle, according to police.

• Chehalis police were called to the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 9:35 a.m. yesterday for an apparent first-degree theft. Further details were not available today.

• Centralia police were called to the 800 block of West First Street at about 8:25 a.m. yesterday where the window of a business had broken out and several items were stolen.

DRINKING OUTDOORS

• Three subjects were issued notice of infractions for open container and/or consuming liquor in public at the 700 block of B Street in Centralia, at about 8:45 p.m. yesterday, according to the Centralia Police Department.

MOTORIST PINNED

• Centralia police were called to the 600 block of Harrison Avenue about 8:25 p.m. yesterday when a male who was trying to push his vehicle into a parking space ended up ended up pinned between his vehicle and another. It had started to roll downhill and he tried pushing on it to stop it,  according to the Centralia Police Department. Witnesses rolled the vehicle back, freeing the owner, according to police.

FIREARM SCARE

• Centralia police were contacted about 12:50 a.m. today by an individual who reported a male passenger in a gray 1980’s Toyota Camry- or Honda Civic-type vehicle drove by and pointed a handgun at them near the 1000 block of Long Road. The incident is under investigation, according to the Centralia Police Department.

AUTO THEFT

• Centralia police got word about 2:50 a.m. today that a vehicle that had been stolen from a Centralia business on Saturday was recovered by Seattle Police Department.

FRAUD

• An individual at the 1000 block of Ellsbury Street in Centralia reported to police about 10:45 p.m. yesterday losing her credit card and discovering that it had been used at two separate businesses in Centralia. The case is under investigation,  according to the Centralia Police Department.

HARASSMENT

• Chehalis police were called to the 300 block of Southwest Third Street just before 7:30 p.m. yesterday to take a report of harassment. There was a dispute, but no crime to arrest anyone for, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

• Centralia police are investigating after an approximately 7 p.m. report yesterday in which a juvenile victim reported being called derogatory names and chased around in a threatening manner by a boy in the area of the 400 block of West Summa Street.

• Centralia police were called just after 4 p.m. yesterday to the 900 block of Johnson Road in Centralia where a student reported she was being threatened by some other girls from school. The investigation is ongoing, according to the Centralia Police Department.

DRUGS

• Chehalis police arrested a 27-year-old Chehalis woman about 5:30 p.m. yesterday for inhaling toxic fumes after aid was called to the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue when the woman was found by employees. Danielle L. Weaver  was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

VANDALISM

• Police were called to the 1500 block of Windsor Avenue in Centralia about 12:25 p.m. yesterday to take a report of three car tires getting slashed during the night.

UNFOUNDED COMPLAINT

• Chehalis police responded to an approximately 11:50 a.m. call yesterday by someone at the 300 block of Southwest 14th Street who claimed there were 20 to 30 high school kids smoking pot in the alley and asked they be removed. The call was unfounded, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

• A 50-year-old Centralia man was issued a citation for hit and run and then released following a call to police about 5:10 p.m. yesterday about a collision at the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue in Centralia. Police believe Apolinar Razo Arredondo left the scene in his vehicle and an officer contacted him at his residence and arrested him, according to the Centralia Police Department.

ASSAULT

• A 67-year-old Centralia woman was arrested after allegedly striking a person and chipping the person’s tooth yesterday. Officers called about 8:40 a.m. in the case associated with a location on the 2600 block of Ford Prairie Avenue booked Deborah A. Griffin into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree assault, according to the Centralia Police Department. The Lewis County Prosecutor’s Office today declined to file the felony charge.

THEFT

• Chehalis police were contacted about 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday to take a report that someone had siphoned gas from a vehicle and stolen a bicycle from the backyard at the 1000 block of Southwest Cascade Avenue. The blue and white mountain bike had fat tires and a Fatboy seat, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

ATTEMPTED THEFT

• Chehalis police called about 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday to city property at the 400 block of Southeast Park Hill Drive learned that someone had entered a fenced area, broke a fluorescent light and rolled a barrel down into the woods.

CAR PROWL

• Centralia police responding about 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday to the 100 block of Virginia Drive arrested a 20-year-old Los Angeles resident for vehicle prowl. He had been seen looking into vehicles in the area and was, allegedly, in possession of property stolen from inside one vehicle when he was contacted by an officer, according to the Centralia Police Department. Juan P. Ortega-Alamo  was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to police.

• Chehalis police called to the 1500 block of Southwest Grandview Avenue at about 5:20 p.m. on Tuesday regarding a vehicle prowl in which a jacket was taken from an unlocked truck.

• Chehalis police called about 7:40 a.m. on Tuesday to the 2100 block of North National Avenue for a vehicle prowl found someone had tried to take fuel from a truck but apparently were not successful.

BURGLARY

• Chehalis police called about 8 a.m. on Monday for a break-in to a business on the 400 block of Northwest North Street learned that a cash box was emptied and items were stolen such as cell phones and tools. Some items were recovered and a suspect, 37-year-old Aaron E. Elliott, of Centralia, was booked into the Lewis County Jail for first-degree theft, second-degree burglary, vehicle prowl and possession of a dangerous weapon, brass knuckles, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

HARASSMENT

• Centralia police were contacted about 8:45 p.m. on Sunday to take a report of a 27-year-old man who allegedly made threats over the phone to his ex-girlfriend about killing her. The case is being referred to prosecutors for a possible charge of telephone harassment, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• Chehalis police were called by an individual who reported being chased at the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard at about 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. The incident is under investigation, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

ASSAULT

• Chehalis police were called just after 1 p.m. on Friday to take a report of assault at Green Hill School in which a 16-year-old boy had allegedly bloodied an employee’s nose.

VEHICLE THEFT

• A black 1997 Nissan pickup truck was reported stolen from the 1100 block of Brotherson Road in Centralia at about 11:30 a.m. on Sunday. The vehicle has a license plate reading C30217K, according to the Centralia Police Department. The truck had multiple hunting stickers affixed to it, according to police.

• A white 2003 Lincoln Town Car was reported stolen about 1 p.m. on Saturday from the 200 block of West Main Street in Centralia. The car has a Washington license plate reading DP54103 and a Vietnam veteran sticker in its back window, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• A small red utility trailer was stolen from a parking lot at the 1300 block of Lum Road in Centralia, according to a report made to police at about 9:30 a.m. on Friday. The license plate reads  4240YR, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• Centralia police were called to the 700 block of Euclid Way about 8:30 a.m. on Friday to take a report that a 1992 Dodge Dakota was stolen. Its plate reads C26791C, according to the Centralia Police Department.

CAR PROWL

• Chehalis police were called just about 11:15 a.m. a.m. on Monday for two vehicle prowls in which windows were broken and items stolen, including tools and winch from front bumper at a car dealership at the 1900 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. The suspect vehicle is a blue 2006-ish Volkswagen Passat, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

• Centralia police were called to the 700 block of F Street about 3:20 p.m. on Sunday where an individual reported someone broke the back window to his vehicle and stole several power tools including a Husqvarna concrete cutting saw, Hitachi nail guns and Milwaukee impact tools, according to the Centralia Police Department.

OTHER THEFT

• Chehalis police were called to the 1300 block of Northwest River Street just before 7 p.m. on Monday to take a report of suspected fraudulent use of bank cards.

• Centralia police were called about 3:15 p.m. on Monday regarding a backpack and numerous belongings of its owner stolen at the 400 block of West Main Street.

• An individual who allegedly used another person’s identity to avoid arrest on an outstanding warrant at the 1400 block of Winterwood Drive about 2:15 p.m. on Sunday was arrested for identity theft and the warrant, according to the Centralia Police Department. Kiya A. L. Kenney  was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department.

DRUGS

• A 30-year-old woman picked up on an outstanding warrant about 7:45 p.m. on Monday at the 200 block of South Pearl Street was also arrested for possession of methamphetamine based on a search of her person, according to the Centralia Police Department.  Felicia D. Lane, of Chehalis, was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to police.

VANDALISM

• A person at the 300 block of West Third Street reported to Centralia police just before 11 p.m. on Saturday that a car full of teenagers was driving around “egging” parked cars

BAT ATTACK

• Chehalis police were called about 6:45 p.m. yesterday to a business at the 1800 block of North National Avenue for a second-hand report of a female with a cut on her forehead who had said she was assaulted with a baseball bat. An arriving officer observed a gash near the woman’s hairline, but the woman, who said it occurred elsewhere, did not want to pursue giving a detailed report, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

BARN BURGLED

• A deputy was called about 8:25 a.m. yesterday to the 400 block of Jarvis Road near Mossyrock for a burglary to a barn. Tools and fencing equipment had been stolen between 7 a.m. on Sept. 6 and 7:30 a.m. yesterday, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

WHEELS STOLEN

• Centralia police were called just before 11 p.m. yesterday to the 1100 block of South Gold Street for a theft of four wheels and tires from a vehicle. Officers were told a white Ford Ranger was a suspect vehicle, according to the Centralia Police Department. Missing are four-bolt Honda wheels. Two of the tires were “racing slicks,” according to police.

CAR PROWL

• Chehalis police were called to the 700 block of Southwest Chehalis Avenue about 6:30 a.m. today for a vehicle prowl, in which a wallet was stolen from the unlocked vehicle. Chehalis officers went on to investigate three other car prowls this morning, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

• A deputy was called about 10:35 p.m. yesterday to the 100 block of Hannah Lane outside Chehalis for a vehicle prowl.

VANDALISM

• Chehalis police were called about 1:45 p.m. yesterday by the owner of a car at the 300 block of Southwest Third Street who said his back window had been broken out within the previous 90 minutes.

• A bicyclist was taken to the hospital for evaluation with apparent minor injuries after a collision with a motor vehicle at the 900 block of Harrison Avenue where it intersects with Interstate 5 yesterday afternoon. officers called o the scene about 3:55 p.m. are still investigating, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• Centralia police were called just before 8 o’clock this morning regarding an out of control 11-year-old who allegedly assaulted their mother at the 2800 block of Russell Road. The incident is under investigation,  according to the Centralia Police Department.

THEFT

• Centralia police were called for a burglary to a residence at the 100 block of Cindy Road about 4:35 p.m. yesterday. Jewelry was stolen, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• Centralia police were called about 9:20 a.m. yesterday to the 1300 block of Riverside Drive regarding $30 believed to have been stolen from a room.

DRUGS

• Centralia police arrested a 32-year-old Centralia man for possession of heroin after contact about 11:20 p.m. yesterday at the 900 block of Harrison Avenue. Mitchel Lewis Wiemann was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department. At the same time, Jennifer Christine Lantau, 34, of Centralia was cited for driving while license suspended, according to police.

• Chehalis police called to a disturbance about 10:45 p.m. yesterday at the the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue contacted a 22-year-old Olympia with an outstanding warrant and a search incident to her arrest turned up paraphernalia with a white powder residue. Rileigh A. Turner  was booked into the Lewis County Jail for possession of methamphetamine, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

• A 29-year-old woman was arrested for possession of heroin after contact with police about yesterday afternoon at the 800 block of Harrison Avenue in Centralia. Katherine Isabeau Clark, of Centralia, was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• The owner of a vehicle reported just before 8 a.m. today a window on his vehicle had broken out at the 100 block of West Third Street in Centralia. It is unknown at this time if anything is missing, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• Police were called to the 1300 block of Lum Road for a vehicle prowl just after 7 p.m. yesterday. A purse was taken but it was recovered in the parking lot and nothing was missing,  according to the Centralia Police Department.
