THEFT

• Chehalis police were called to the 2100 block of North National Avenue about 1:30 p.m. yesterday where an individual reported their purse was stolen after being left on a chair.

DRUGS

• A 50-year-old man contacted by police in connection with a report of shoplifting at approximately 12:15 p.m. yesterday was arrested for possession of methamphetamine on Harrison Avenue near Interstate 5 in Centralia. Brian A. Bedortha, a person without an address, was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department.

ON THE ROAD, OFF THE ROAD

• Two of three teenagers traveling in a Pontiac Sunfire were injured when the car left the roadway and rolled at the 100 block of Forest Service Road 25 south of Randle yesterday. Troopers called to the scene about 5:15 p.m. indicated that the driver, Bryce L. Wood, and passenger Michael P. Hughes, both from Glenoma, were transported to Morton General Hospital. Passenger Steven A.  Edgar, of Randle, was reportedly unhurt. All are 19 years old, according to the Washington State Patrol. The driver was cited for wheels off the roadway and not having insurance, according to the state patrol. The vehicle was described as totaled.
