Male found dead along I-5 near Toledo

CHEHALIS – The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death after highway workers came upon a vehicle on the shoulder of southbound Interstate 5 near Toledo occupied by a person who appeared to have trauma to his head yesterday.

Deputies and troopers dispatched about 5:15 p.m. were able to gain entry to the secured vehicle and determine the male was deceased, according to the sheriff’s office. He was described as the sole occupant. The scene was near milepost 60.

The sheriff’s office this morning says they are not seeking any other involved individuals but ask for anyone with possible information to contact them.

The cause and manner of death, as well as the male’s identity, are under investigation.

    That is really terrible and since he has a head injury it appears things are pretty suspicious in how he died. There seems like there had to of “maybe” been someone else originally with him and fled…Of course I don’t know that but it just seems like a good possibility
