AUTO THEFT

• At mid-morning yesterday officers recovered a vehicle that had been stolen the night before in a case associated with the 700 block of South Pearl Street in Centralia. The investigation is ongoing, according to the Centralia Police Department.

CAR PROWL

• Chehalis police were called after a man in an early 1990s Honda Accord pulled up next to an unlocked vehicle and stole a purse from it outside a convenience store on the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue about 4:10 p.m. yesterday.

• Centralia police were called to the 600 block of Nick Road at about 4:45 p.m. yesterday to take a report of several items being stolen from the inside of an unlocked vehicle.

UNDERAGE BOOZE

• A case from 10:30 a.m. yesterday at the 900 block of Johnson Road in Centralia involving two juvenile females is being referred to the Lewis County Juvenile Court for charges of minor in possession of alcohol.

ON THE ROAD, OFF THE ROAD

• Centralia patrols responded to a single vehicle rollover accident in the 800 block of South Gold Street about 6:30 a.m. today in which the driver sustained a broken bone.

• And, as usual, other incidents such as arrests for drugs, warrants, trespassing, third-degree theft, driving under the influence, driving with suspended license; responses for alarm, dispute, shoplifting, civil issue, vehicle collision, suspicious circumstances and more among 155 calls for local law enforcement and / or fire-emergency medical services in the 24-hour period ending about 7 a.m. today.
