THEFT, THEFT, THEFT
• Chehalis police were contacted about 1:20 p.m. on Wednesday to take a report of a homemade Strawberry Shortcake quilt stolen from the laundry room at an apartment complex on the 300 block of Southeast Washington Avenue.
• Cash was stolen from a residence at the 300 block of South Street in Centralia, according to a report made to police about 9:20 a.m. on Wednesday.
• Centralia police were called about 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday to the 1900 block of Honeysuckle Lane to take a report of a fraud.
• A wallet was stolen from a vehicle while parked in the lot of a business at the 500 block of South Tower Avenue in Centralia, according to a report made to police about 6:50 p.m. on Tuesday.
• Chehalis police on Tuesday said an officer was called Saturday night to the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue where an individual attempted to spend a counterfeit $20 bill. He said he’d gotten it from a casino, according to the Chehalis Police Department.
DRUGS
• Daniel L. Bautista, 26, of Beaverton Oregon, and Travis T. M. Millon, 39, of Puyallup, were both arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for possession of methamphetamine after they were found seated in a parked car at the 1300 block of Belmont Avenue in Centralia allegedly in possession of the drug at about 12:30 p.m. on Monday, according to the Centralia Police Department.
• A 44-year-old Centralia man was arrested for possession of methamphetamine after officers looking for him about a protection order violation at a transient camp near the freeway and Blair Road in Centralia contacted him about 10:30 a.m. on Monday. Thomas J. Roy was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department.
• Chehalis police called to the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard about a suspected shoplifter just before 9 p.m. on Saturday arrested an 18-year-old for possession of heroin when a search turned up drug paraphernalia. Alec W. Busby, of Chehalis, was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Chehalis Police Department.
FALSE NAME
• Officers contacted a 40-year-old homeless man who allegedly gave police a fake name to avoid being identified due to having a warrant for his arrest at about 10:30 a.m. on Monday near the freeway and Interstate 5 in Centralia. Lance J. Myhre,was booked for first-degree criminal impersonation, according to the Centralia Police Department.
VANDALISM
• Officers responded to the report of a vehicle with a tire that was slashed in the parking lot of a motel on the 700 block of Harrison Avenue in Centralia at about 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The case was closed after the victim refused to cooperate with the investigation, according to the Centralia Police Department.
LOST AND FOUND
• Chehalis police were called to a business on the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue about 5:25 p.m. on Sunday after an employee found a baggie containing white powder on the floor. An officer collected the item to be destroyed, according to the Chehalis Police Department.
ON THE ROAD, OFF THE ROAD
• Centralia police cited the at-fault driver following an injury accident at the 600 block of West Main Street where a vehicle collided with another vehicle and then into a building shortly before 3:42 p.m. on Wednesday.
• A 68-year-old motorist was injured when her northbound Mitsubishi Eclipse hydroplaned then struck the concrete barrier before rolling onto its top yesterday on Interstate 5 in Centralia. Troopers called to the area near milepost 82 at about 2:35 p.m. found the driver had been going too fast for conditions and issued her a citation. Diannarae Johnson, 68, of Rochester, was transported to providence Centralia Hospital, according to the Washington State Patrol. The car was described as totaled.
