VEHICLE THEFT

• An individual at the 100 block of West Walnut Street in Centralia reported the theft of a black open utility trailer just after 9 a.m. on Monday. The trailer has a license plate reading 7062YL, according to the Centralia Police Department. The theft occurred sometime over the weekend, according to police.

FRAUD

• Chehalis police were called about 6:10 p.m. on Saturday by a couple who had just discovered several hundred dollars had been removed from their credit union union account after shopping at various places including on the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.

• Chehalis police are investigating a suspected identity theft after being called about 3 p.m. on Monday in a case associated with the 2500 block of North National Avenue.

PORCH PILFERING

• A package was stolen from the front porch of a residence on the 800 block of South Gold Street in Centralia, according to a report made to police about 9:30 p.m. on Friday.

CAR PROWL

• Chehalis police were called to the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue about 6:50 p.m. on Sunday by an individual who said they returned to their car and discovered a stranger sitting inside, but he ran off when she banged on the window.

• Chehalis police were called regarding a vehicle prowl at the 1900 block of Northeast Kresky Avenue in Chehalis at about 2:10 p.m. on Saturday.

OUT OF CONTROL

• A 38-year-old Centralia man who was detained about 7:25 p.m. on Saturday at the tractor parade on the 100 block of South Pearl Street in Centralia for allegedly being disorderly was taken to the hospital for a medical clearance due to his intoxication level and there he allegedly assaulted a nurse and was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. Adam P. Stroud was booked into the Lewis County Jail for third-degree assault and possession of meth, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• Officers called to the 900 block of South Scheuber Road just after 11 a.m. on Saturday for an individual who allegedly was screaming and yelling in the halls, throwing his clothes around and had broken a wall phone arrested a 53-year-old Centralia resident. Steven W. Stewart was booked into the Lewis County Jail for third-degree malicious mischief and interfering with a healthcare facility, according to the Centralia Police Department.

HARASSMENT

• Chehalis police were called to investigate a report of harassment at the 200 block of Northwest Chehalis Avenue at about 8 a.m. on Monday.

    What on the he’ll is really wrong with people in Chehalis and Centralia.
    People are off the hook for what reasons I am not sure of.
    I do know that somebody needs to get a grip on or admit these people into the physic ward and not let them out until they can control all of the people in their heads.
    It getting ridiculous, makes me wonder how much is real and how much of it is an act, and maybe how much of it is made up by the police? Just throwing stuff out there to ponder on.
