ON THE ROAD, OFF THE ROAD

• Centralia police responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian accident just before 6:10 a.m. today at North Pearl Street and Zenkner Road. This case is under investigation, according to the Centralia Police Department.

FIGHT

• Centralia police ended up arresting a 30-year-old man for second-degree assault after being called to the 1000 block of North Scheuber Road at about 1:25 a.m. on Saturday. Kyle R. Johnson, of Centralia, had allegedly been involved in a fight with an acquaintance, according to the Centralia Police Department. He was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to police. Prosecutors today are declining to file the felony charge.

BURGLARY

• A soccer field concession stand at the 2000 block of Borst Avenue in Centralia was broken into, with candy and money stolen, according to a report made to police about 9:10 a.m. on Saturday.

• Centralia police are investigating a possible burglary where an unknown individual entered onto an individual’s fenced property at the 400 block of Harrison Avenue and stole items, an incident reported to police at about 5:50 p.m. on Friday. The suspect is described as a man in his 40s who wore a Dallas Cowboys’ jersey with the number 41, according to the Centralia Police Department.

•  An individual told police cash was stolen from a wallet during work hours at their place of employment at the 900 block of South Scheuber Road in Centralia, according to a report made about 11:20 a.m. on Friday.

AUTO THEFT

• Police were called about a stolen car about 9:45 a.m. on Saturday from the 2500 block of Mount Vista Road in Centralia. Missing is a black 1994 Honda Accord, bearing a license plate reading BKC 1241, according to the Centralia Police Department. The vehicle has a yellow bumper sticker on back, according to police.

FRAUD

• Chehalis police were contacted about 12:30 p.m. on Friday by a business whose bank had informed it of fraudulent payroll checks issued on its account, in a case associated with 600 block of Northwest California Street.

CAR PROWL

• Centralia police were called about 8:50 a.m. on Friday to the 600 block of Ham Hill Road to take a report that items were stolen from a locked vehicle during the evening. Missing is a vehicle battery, according to the Centralia Police Department.

DRUG VIOLATION

• Centralia police called about 11:15 p.m. on Sunday to the 100 block of West Walnut Street investigated a woman for a noise violation who allegedly was found to be in possession of “legend drugs” without a prescription and an open bottle of liquor. Trina L. Landry, 43, a person without an address, was arrested for obstructing a public servant and then released with a court date, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• A 30-year-old man contacted by police at the 900 block of South Scheuber Road at about 6:10 a.m. on Saturday was allegedly found to be in possession of heroin. He was not booked. A criminal charge is being referred to prosecutors. according to the Centralia Police Department.
