THEFT, THEFT, THEFT

• The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office reports today a deputy was called to a burglary at the 1000 block of South Military Road in Winlock where fishing gear and other items were stolen from a garage between 1 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. on Monday.

• Centralia police were called to the 1000 block of Eckerson Road about 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday regarding multiple “folding” bicycles that had been stolen during the night.

• A deputy was called to the 300 block of West Reynolds Avenue in Centralia for a burglary to a storage unit in which a Toshiba flat screen television, high-value shoes, clothing, two vintage lamps and other property were stolen sometime since February. A lock was damaged and the loss is estimated at $4,000, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

• The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office reported on Tuesday that someone stole 50 sheets of four-foot by eight-foot plywood and a bag of screws from inside a doorless barn at the 400 block of Highland Valley Road outside of Morton between 6 p.m. on June 18 and 6 a.m. on Saturday.

• Centralia police were called to the 2000 block of North Pearl Street about 10:25 p.m. on Monday where an individual reported that sometime since May 10 an unknown person entered a residence and stole two firearms.

• Chehalis police were called to the 100 block of Northwest State Avenue about 1:15 p.m. on Monday to investigate a burglary.

• Chehalis police were called to the 200 block of Northwest Quincy Place about 4:30 p.m. on Monday regarding a burglary.

NOT THEFT

• Chehalis police were called about 9:20 a.m. on Tuesday by an individual who reported a radiator he had been working on disappeared from an alley at the 100 block of Southwest Cascade Avenue. It turns out a scrapper had been given permission to pick up some items from the alley and accidentally took the radiator also, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

VANDALISM

• A window was broken out of a vehicle sometime during the night at the 900 block of North Tower Avenue in Centralia, according to a report made to police just before 10 a.m. on Tuesday.

• Centralia police were called to the 1400 Harrison Avenue about noon on Monday where a vehicle had been vandalized during the night.

OTHER

• Chehalis police were called to the 1400 block of Northeast North End Avenue about 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday to investigate possible trespassing.

ON THE ROAD, OFF THE ROAD

• A 73-year-old Chehalis driver was issued an infraction for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk after officers were called about 5 p.m. on Tuesday to South Market Boulevard and 11th Street for where a person on foot got hit by a vehicle. Further details were not available from the Chehalis Police Department.

• Chehalis police were called at 2:42 p.m. on Tuesday and told a motorist in the area of the 200 block of Southwest 13th Street near the park was acting like a police officer waiting to catch someone, with a police hat in the window and a light bar across the window of an “ex-police car.” A spokesperson for the Chehalis Police Department said no report was available to describe if an officer contacted the suspicious man.
