BURGLARY CINEBAR

• Law enforcement officers seized a red Honda suspected to have been left behind after a stranger was seen leaving an 80-year-old Cinebar woman’s residence with items belonging to her in his hands last night. Deputies called to the 100 block of Panisco Road found the suspect car in a neighbor’s driveway and called for a police dog to attempt a track, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. A list of missing household items is being compiled and the car will be searched, according to the sheriff’s office.

UNPAID BILL

• Officers called to the 1000 block of Eckerson Road in Centralia about 12:15 p.m. yesterday investigated two individuals allegedly leaving the motel without paying their bill after staying there for months. Cases of defrauding an innkeeper are being referred to prosecutors for the 28-year-old Centralia man and 24-year-old Chehalis woman, according to the Centralia Police Department.

VEHICLE PROWL

• Someone pried a window of a recreational vehicle parked at the 600 block of Northwest St. Helens Street, got inside and rummaged around, according to a report made to Chehalis police just after 9 a.m. yesterday. Missing is a black 30-foot long power cord, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

FRAUD

• The fraudulent use of a debit card was reported about 10:30 a.m. yesterday at the 100 block of North Pearl Street in Centralia. An investigation is ongoing, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• Chehalis police were called to the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard just after 9 a.m. yesterday to investigate an apparent fraudulent prescription which had been dropped off.

HIDE AND SEEK

• Police attempting to arrest  24-year-old Centralia man for outstanding warrants about noon yesterday ended up arresting him also for trespassing because he allegedly ran from officers and hid in a fully fenced yard at the 600 block of South Rock Street in Centralia. Nathaniel A. Cheney was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department.
