Lewis County Coroner Warren McLeod is inviting the public to come by and see the newly renovated coroner’s office on Friday.

They will hold an open house from noon until 2 p.m. when visitors can also meet the staff and get a tour of the facility.

The coroners office is located at 585 N.W. Center St. in Chehalis.

McLeod says there is parking in the fenced lot around the corner on North Street.

They will have snacks.

Thanks to everyone who came out to our open house. Our offer of snacks actually steamrolled into a full blown buffet. 40 poeple came out to see our newly redecorated office and facilities. The highlight of the tour was our new family room that has been decorated and furnished in a way that offers a setting of compassion and comfort for those folks who have suffered a loss. All painting, decorating and equipping was done by the staff with no cost to the taxpayers from our budget.

Thanks again to those who came out and to Lewiscountysirens.com for helping us get out the word.
    See you next year.
    Warren McLeod

I’m not so sure I would want to see the coroner eating a bag of potato chips while hovering over a body as he examines it…. but then again, something like that could lead to some rather interesting paperwork!
