BREAKING DOWN DOOR
• A 23-year-old Rochester resident was arrested after police were called to the 600 block of North Pearl Street about 3:30 p.m. on Sunday where the suspect allegedly kicked open the front door of a home and caused a small laceration to the leg of a female inside the residence. Dominic J. Lopez was booked into the Lewis County Jail for first-degree burglary, according to the Centralia Police Department.
MISSING GUNS
• Centralia police were called to the 1400 block of Harrison Avenue about 6:45 p.m. on Sunday to take a report that an AR-15 rifle had been stolen from a vehicle. The Centralia Police Department took the opportunity this morning to advise members of the public to keep their firearms secured in a safe location within their homes or businesses, not inside their car or truck.
• Centralia police were called about 9:50 a.m. on Thursday to take a report that two guns were stolen or lost from a residence on the 700 block of North Washington Avenue within the past 12 months.
THEFT, THEFT, THEFT
• Centralia police were called regarding a vehicle prowl at the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue about 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Missing was a wallet with a credit card, according to the Centralia Police Department.
• Chehalis police were called about 10:30 a.m. on Saturday to take a report that headphones had been stolen out of a car the night before at the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard.
• Centralia police were called about 5 a.m. on Saturday to the 1300 block of Belmont Avenue to take a report that a 6-foot by 8-foot utility trailer had been stolen.
• Centralia police called about 2:25 p.m. on Friday regarding a vehicle which had been abandoned approximately three weeks earlier at the 300 block of West Pine Street discovered the vehicle was stolen.
• Mail was reported stolen from a mailbox on the 1400 block of View Avenue in Centralia on Friday afternoon.
DRUGS
• Officers called about 1:45 p.m. on Sunday to the 1300 block of Lum Road regarding a misdemeanor theft found the suspect was wanted on an outstanding warrant and had on him, allegedly, substances that tested positive for methamphetamine and heroin. Joseph J. Aulabaugh, 25, of Olympia, was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department.
• A 38-year-old man arrested for an outstanding warrant at the 100 block of South Pearl Street in Centralia at about 3:10 p.m. on Saturday was found to be in possession of a substance a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine, according to the Centralia Police Department. Michael L. Hensley, 38, of Centralia, was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to police.
• A 29-year-old Chehalis woman was allegedly found in possession of a stolen car and heroin in a case associated with the 1200 block of Alder Street at about 12:10 a.m. on Saturday. Justine A. Abbott was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department.
• A 37-year-old suspect in an attempted shoplifting incident at the 100 block of West High Street in Centralia was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and heroin with the intent to deliver. Reema M. Hanrahan, of Tacoma was booked into the Lewis County Jail following the Thursday afternoon call, according to the Centralia Police Department.
• A 53-year-old man contacted by police for allegedly unlawfully entering a residence he did not live at on the 100 block of South Silver Street at about noon on Thursday was subsequently arrested for possession of methamphetamine. Johnathan M. Davis was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department.
AND, FROM MORTON
• After a man was seen allegedly licking the windows of a patrol vehicle parked behind the Morton Police Department on Thursday evening and a lengthy confrontation ensued, he was detained and then taken to the hospital to be medically cleared before being arrested for third-degree assault and booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to Morton police. Erick Arceo appeared to be under the influence of a drug and was acting erratically, according to police.
ON THE ROAD, OFF THE ROAD
• Two people were flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after a single-vehicle wreck Saturday night on southbound Interstate 5 in Centralia. Troopers called about 11:08 p.m. to the scene near Mellen Street found the Toyota Scion had struck the concrete barrier, rolled and landed on its top. Injured were the driver, Kristi R. Vaughan, 58, and passenger, Robert D. Vaughan, 48, both from Centralia, according to the Washington State Patrol. The car was impounded. The state patrol indicates it suspects drugs or alcohol were involved.
