ASSAULT

• After being dispatched about 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday to the area of North Gold and Roswell streets for a report of a woman screaming for help, arriving officers located a female being assaulted by a male. During the investigation, the suspect was identified as David A. Stallman, 25, of Anderson Island, who was arrested and then booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree assault, according to the Centralia Police Department.

BREAK-IN CHEHALIS

• Chehalis police were called to the 700 block of Northwest Ohio Avenue at 3:10 p.m. on Wednesday for a burglary in which forced entry was made and five pairs of size 11 Nike shoes were stolen. The loss is estimated at $1,200, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

• Chehalis police were called to the 1700 block of Southwest Fair Avenue about 1:35 p.m. on Tuesday for a residential burglary in which a bedroom had been ransacked.

• Chehalis police were called to the 10 block of Southwest 10th Street about 1:04 p.m. on Tuesday for a burglary.

THEFT, THEFT, THEFT

• Chehalis police were called about 1:35 a.m. today for a vehicle prowl at the 200 block of Southwest Alfred Street.

• Centralia police were called about 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday to the 800 block of West Pear Street on a report of an interrupted vehicle prowl. The victim was unable to provide a suspect description but said a white extended cab pickup with loud exhaust fled the scene, according to the Centralia Police Department. No property was stolen, according to police.

• Chehalis police were called to a shoplifting incident at the 1600 block Northwest Louisiana Avenue about 7 p.m. on Wednesday in which earlier in the day, a male allegedly pushed a shopping cart out of the store containing two televisions and Nerf guns, all not paid for. Once the suspect was identified and police realized he had been previous trespassed from the business, a case for a charge of second-degree burglary was forwarded to prosecutors for evaluation, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

• Chehalis police were called about 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday regarding a $100 fraud involving an individual’s account in a case associated with the 700 block of Southeast Washington Avenue.

• Centralia police were called about 3:40 p.m. on Tuesday to take a report of a possible check fraud in a case associated with the 2400 block of Leisure Lane.

VANDALISM

• Chehalis police were contacted about 6 p.m. on Tuesday regarding the glass at two bus stops having been shot out, one at Cascade Avenue and Ninth Street and the other at Southwest William Avenue and 13th Street, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

ON THE ROAD, OFF THE ROAD

• Centralia police were called to a collision in which a vehicle struck a building at the 500 block of South Tower Avenue at about 5:25 p.m. on Tuesday.
