KID FIGHTS
• Centralia police were called about 12:20 p.m. yesterday to the 800 block of Field Avenue where two 9-year-old boys allegedly got into a physical altercation at school. A second incident came to light in which another boy reportedly assaulted another student, according to the Centralia Police Department. At about 3:30 p.m., an officer was called once again to the school to investigate an incident in which a 9-year-old allegedly punched and bit multiple people to include two teachers. All the cases are being referred to prosecutors for possible charges of fourth-degree assault, according to police.
THEFT
• Chehalis police were called just before 11 a.m. yesterday by a man who said his firearm had been stolen from the 1300 block of Northwest River Street, awhile back.
• An iPad was reported stolen about 10:35 a.m. yesterday by an individual after he was notified of a “locate” signal coming from a residential area in Centralia. An officer checked with a manager of an apartment complex to see if an iPad had been turned in, but one had not, in the case associated with the 200 block of North Tower Avenue, according to the Centralia Police Department.
VANDALISM
• An individual reported reported a juvenile threw a rock at his car, damaging the windshield at the 600 block of West Pear Street in Centralia at about 8 p.m. yesterday. The juvenile was located and his parent took responsibility for the damages, according to the Centralia Police Department.
• Chehalis police were called about 1:20 p.m. yesterday to take a report that a gas line had been cut on a vehicle parked at the 2500 block of Northeast Kresky Avenue. The cost for repair was $550, according to the Chehalis Police Department.
