THEFT

• The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office reports today a blue and white 24-foot 1987 Lomac boat and its trailer were stolen between 10 p.m. on Tuesday and 9 a.m. on Wednesday from the 100 block of Second Avenue South in Randle. The loss is estimated at $2,000, according to the sheriff’s office.

DRUGS

• A motorist pulled over for expired license tabs about 4:30 p.m. yesterday at Cowlitz Ridge and Toledo-Vader roads was found to driving with a suspended license and then when a search allegedly turned up drug paraphernalia which tested positive for meth was arrested for possession of methamphetamine. Richard R. Viers, 27, with no city of residence, was booked into the Lewis Jail, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

• Kristen M. Karboski, 37, a homeless person, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and for possession of a controlled substance and booked into the Lewis County Jail after contact with police just after 10 a.m. yesterday at the 300 block of Lowe Street in Centralia, according to the Centralia Police Department.

VANDALISM

• Chehalis police were called just after 1 p.m. yesterday to take a report of a vehicle getting “egged” three nights in a row at the 600 block of Southwest 16th Street.

• The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office reports today a 46-year-old Randle man was arrested at his residence on the 600 block of Silverbrook Road on Wednesday after allegedly on Monday and/or Tuesday walking onto his neighbor’s property with cutters in his hand and beginning to cut lines to the 54-year-old neighbor’s satellite television and CenturyLink for no apparent reason. Charles Arnold was booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree malicious mischief, according to the sheriff’s office.

    As a matter of fact, I do know where there are not one but two second avenues in Randle. Second ave and Second ave South are both just west of Gharet Rd.
