ASSAULT
• A deputy arrived to the 1700 block of Bunker Creek Road about 1:15 a.m. today where a 74-year-old man reported he was punched several times by a person who broke through a motorhome door to visit a female staying there, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. A suspect was located along the 100 block of Dieckman Road and arrested for first-degree burglary, second-degree assault and third-degree malicious mischief, according to the sheriff’s office. Edmond M. Ferry II was booked into the Lewis County Jail, Chief Deputy Dusty Breen said.
• Two men were arrested for allegedly assaulting an individual and stealing his bicycle in an approximately 1:50 p.m. case on Wednesday associated with the 400 block of West Main Street in Centralia. Adam P. Chapman, 33, of Centralia and Peter A. Anderson, 37, of Winlock, were booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department.
• Adam P. Chapman, 33, of Centralia, was booked into the Lewis County Jail for felony harassment on Wednesday in a case that occurred on Sunday but was not reported at the time, associated with West Third and L streets in Centralia, according to the Centralia Police Department. A charge of fourth-degree assault was referred to prosecutors also, according to police.
BURGLARY
• An 85-year-old woman residing at the 200 block of Curtis Hill Road reported about 1 p.m. on Wednesday that she discovered her garage door was propped open with a piece of wood and an electric wood splitter valued at $300 was missing, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.
• Chehalis police were called to the 100 block of Northwest State Avenue about 7:50 a.m. on Wednesday where someone had broken in to a Connex container and stolen gray gloves, copper pigtails and cases of oil. Some of the oil was found in brush nearby, according to the Chehalis Police Department.
• A deputy called about 2:20 a.m. on Wednesday for a burglary at a business on the 3800 block of Harrison Avenue in Centralia viewed video surveillance and saw that a riding lawn mower was stolen between 1:59 a.m. and 2:11 a.m. The mower was located in some brush nearby and returned to the business, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.
CAR PROWL
• Police were called to the 700 block of Northwest Liberty Place in Chehalis just before 7 a.m. on Wednesday for a vehicle prowl.
• Chehalis police were called about a possible attempted vehicle prowl at the 200 block of Southwest John Street about 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
• A wallet was stolen in a vehicle prowl at the 2200 block of Eureka Avenue in Centralia, according to a report made to police about 12:35 p.m. on Tuesday.
VANDALISM
• Police were called to the 100 block of Northwest Chehalis Avenue about 5:40 p.m. on Wednesday where an individual reported sugar had been placed in their gas tank.
• Centralia police were called about 1:20 a.m. on Wednesday after a male allegedly threw a can of beer at an occupied vehicle at the 1500 block of South Gold Street causing significant damage. A suspect has been identified and charges will likely follow, according to the Centralia Police Department.
SEX CRIME
• Chehalis police were called about 5:50 p.m. on Tuesday to investigate a possible case of child molestation.
ZOOM, ZOOM
• A 35-year-old Chehalis man allegedly sped away from an attempted traffic stop for a minor infraction and then lost control of his car and crashed into some train equipment in Centralia last night so he was arrested for felony eluding, according to the Centralia Police Department. Nathan L. Williams was booked into the Lewis County Jail after the approximately 11:20 p.m. incident associated with Tower Avenue and Magnolia Street, according to police.
• Centralia police arrested a Portland resident for reckless driving after he was seen driving in excess of 100 mph and weaving in and out of traffic on Interstate 5 around noon on Tuesday. Arian Khoudsiani, 40, was issued a citation and then released, according to the Centralia Police Department.
