ON THE ROAD, OFF THE ROAD

• An 8-year-old boy was hospitalized after he was hit by an intoxicated motorcyclist at the 400 block of West Main Street in Centralia. The child was transported to Providence Centralia Hospital for what police described as non-life threatening injuries after the approximately 6 p.m. incident yesterday. Wade E. Evans, 60, of Centralia, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for vehicular assault, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• A 24-year-old Bucoda man was arrested for vehicular assault after deputies were dispatched about 11:30 p.m. on Monday to a single-vehicle accident which they subsequently located along the 400 block of Tietzel Road in Centralia. A 45-year-old male passenger, also from Bucoda, had been ejected and was discovered with significant injuries in a field about 20 feet from the Jeep Cherokee, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. He was airlifted to Harborview Medical center in Seattle, according to the sheriff’s office. The driver, Christopher D. Hoyt, 24, did not know where he was and reportedly admitted to drinking, the sheriff’s office said. Hoyt was booked into the Lewis County Jail.

• The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office reports that a 40-year-old Toledo woman was arrested for driving under the influence after a single-vehicle collision at the 300 block of Knowles Road on Saturday night. Emily Morgan was attempting to leave the scene but was intercepted by aid personnel, according to the sheriff’s office. Her 2013 Toyota Camry sustained major damage, Chief Deputy Dusty Breen said. She  booked into the Lewis County Jail.

VIOLENCE

• A 31-year-old Chehalis man was arrested for second-degree assault after he allegedly struck and kicked another man at Chehalis Avenue and Center Street in Chehalis last night. Officers called about 8:50 p.m. were told the victim was unconscious on the sidewalk and bleeding from his nose and mouth. Aid was called for the victim and police located a suspect a short distance away, according to the Chehalis Police Department. Brent T. Brooks was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to police.

• Jose P. Escamilla-Orellana, 25, of Centralia was arrested for unlawful imprisonment after he allegedly restrained his ex-girlfriend against her will during an argument last night in Centralia, according to the Centralia Police Department. Officers called about 8:30 p.m. to the 700 block of North Tower Avenue learned she was finally able to get away from him and drive off, according to police. He was booked him into the Lewis County Jail. Prosecutors today declined to file the felony charge.

• A 37-year-old homeless man who allegedly threatened to kill an individual was arrested for harassment on Sunday morning and then for third-degree assault after he allegedly grabbed one of the arresting officer’s hands, dug in with his fingernails and left a cut on the officer’s finger. Police called just before 9 a.m. on Sunday to the 500 block of West Main Street booked Michael L. Hensley into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• A 49-year-old woman allegedly repeatedly rammed her ex-husbands parked, unoccupied vehicle while intoxicated last night at the 1500 block of Lewis Street in Centralia. Lauren Harter, 49, of Washougal, was booked into the Lewis County Jail for driving under the influence and for third-degree malicious mischief, according to the Centralia Police Department.

KIDS CAUGHT STEALING

• Nine students were arrested after they allegedly stole drinks from a dispensing machine at the 800 block of Eshom Road in Centralia yesterday. Police called about 11:20 a.m. will be referring the cases to prosecutors for charges of third-degree theft, according to the Centralia Police Department.

PORCH PILFERING

• Centralia police were called to the 900 block of South Tower Avenue about 6:50 a.m. today where an individual reported that someone stole his gym bag off his front porch 15 minutes earlier.

DRUGS

• Two people discovered passed out in a vehicle parked at the 900 block of Harrison Avenue in Centralia were both arrested yesterday about 2:35 p.m., according to the Centralia Police Department. Kristopher K. Nolan, 33, was arrested for possession of heroin and because he identified himself to police using someone else’s identity, he was also arrested for identity theft, according to police. Brittany M. Morris, 28, was arrested for an outstanding Thurston County Superior Court drug warrant, according to Sgt. Tracy Murphy. The pair, both Chehalis residents, were booked into the Lewis County Jail.

• A 28-year-old Toledo woman was arrested for possession of methamphetamine following a search incident to her arrest when police were called about 3:45 p.m. on Friday to the 500 block of South Market Boulevard in Chehalis on a report someone may have been “huffing” in the restroom. Sarah A. Gee was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Chehalis Police Department.
