TREE-HUGGING CAR

• Firefighters were dispatched to a single vehicle rollover accident along the 3100 block of Harrison Avenue at about 12:15 p.m. yesterday where they found a passenger vehicle on its side, between the trees. The lone occupant self-extricated from the car and was transported by ambulance to Providence Centralia Hospital with minor injuries, according to Riverside Fire Authority.

THEFT, THEFT, THEFT

• Centralia police were called to the 400 block of South Oak Street about 3:45 p.m. on Friday to take a report of the theft of a scooter as well as the tires off a Honda passenger car.

• A tailgate from a black Ford F-250 pickup was stolen overnight at the 300 block of South Pearl Street in Centralia, according to a report made to police on Friday morning.

• Additional victims of mail and package thefts in the 600 block of F Street in Centralia were discovered ton Friday, according to the Centralia Police Department. The juvenile suspects remain in custody from an attempted mail theft the day before, according to police.

OUTDOOR RECREATION

• Two men were cited for drinking in public at the 100 block of Wast Hanson Street in Centralia at 10 o’clock yesterday morning.

VANDALISM

•  A front window of a residence was broken with what appeared to have been a rock at the 100 block of Jalyn Street in Centralia, according to a report made to police about 11:50 a.m. yesterday.

• And, as usual, other incidents such as arrests for warrants, third-degree theft, misdemeanor assault, driving with suspended license, driving under the influence, driving without required ignition interlock; responses for alarm, dispute, civil issue, suicidal person, suspicious circumstances, visits from fire department to ask residents to douse campfires … and more among 346 calls for local law enforcement and / or fire-emergency medical services in the 48-hour period ending about 7 a.m.
