News brief: Pe Ell home burns

CHEHALIS – A house in Pe Ell is a total loss after it caught fire during the night.

Personnel from three fire departments responded after the approximately 1 a.m. call to the blaze on Third Street, according to Lewis County Fire District 11.

Chief Michael Krafczyk said everyone got out okay.

The fire appeared to have started in the garage but is under investigation, according to the chief.

    …Thank goodness for the rapid responsers everyone got out safe. I know thee is heartbreak to lose personal belonging in a fire situation but they are fortunate that they were awake and out on time…

    I heard they had a band in the open park Saturday night was so hot facing the West they had to have medics as one band member collapsed…it was an extremely hot day/night …
