CHEHALIS – The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office continues to look for a Centralia mother of three who went missing on Saturday, with plans to review surveillance videos from businesses as well as search the Cowlitz River and its banks.
The sheriff’s office said a makeup bag identified as belonging to Elizabeth A. Pham was turned in to the Castle Rock Police Department on Sunday by a fisherman who located it downstream from where Pham was last seen.

Also, a witness reported seeing a woman matching her description sitting beneath the overpass at exit 59 staring into the Cowlitz River, according to the sheriff’s office.
The 33-year-old woman’s car was found on southbound Interstate 5 near Vader’s exit 59, unlocked with the keys in it by a trooper on Saturday evening.
“At this time, we do not know what happened to Elizabeth; there are a lot of possibilities that need to be examined,” Chief Deputy Bruce Kimsey stated in a news release around noon today. “Elizabeth may have gotten a ride out of the area, and be gone on her own volition, we just don’t know at this time.”
Chief Deputy Stacy Brown indicated today Pham’s family says she may be suffering from postpartum depression.
They are still asking for anyone who has seen her, or has information, to call them.
Lewis County Sheriff Rob Snaza said he has four detectives assigned to the case, and they have set aside everything else.
“My hope is, it’s just a young female who wanted to get away for awhile,” Snaza said.
Detectives believe Pham left her vehicle along the freeway on Saturday morning and walked to Gee Cees truck stop, where she tried to get a ride with a truck driver who was headed to Redding, California. A Gee Cee’s employee stopped Pham from getting into the truck and called a taxi for her, according to Brown.
Detectives have learned Pham asked the taxi driver to take her to Olympia, but they stopped by her vehicle to get some personal items and then she was dropped off at the Shell station off exit 59, according to Brown.
The taxi driver described her behavior as unusual and confused.
She went into the store and stayed for about 20 minutes without buying anything, and then witnesses say she walked over to the nearby Beasley’s Restaurant and placed an order, according to Brown.
It was after that someone saw the woman under the overpass, according to Brown.
Pham was reported missing at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
When last seen, she was wearing purple pajama bottoms, a pinkish red shirt and socks but no shoes. Pham is described as 5-feet 6-inches tall and weighing 122 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes.

Look at all the attacks on everyone here over the Pham issue. Its a sad issue, but there is more to this story than we are being told. No one knows the truth yet. Im wondering if the lady didnt stop her from going with that trucker to California would she be still alive today. Just a thought .
Odd case. She certainly has had a number of court cases these last few years. It would at least hint at some issues perhaps in her life?
@Butch: Since the commenters IP addresses are not imbedded in the web page, you seem to be hinting that you have special access to the Sirens server. I think that leaves three options: 1. Your bluffing, 2: you hacked the Sirens server, 3: You have official access to the Sirens server. I’m going with option 1.
I don’t know what IP address would be reported to the Sirens server but imagine it’s one of my CenturyTel IP addresses. Probably 72.160.105.1, 173.248.76.155, or 206.51.69.142.
I’ve got a pretty good idea on your identity and don’t appreciate being threatened. I will file a complaint with your department if you continue.
Or perhaps you should do something constructive rather than threatening the citizenry. Go out and spend the day taking another look for this lady. You can be the hero again if you find her.

As a second thought, I guess that I sometimes end up down by the river with no shoes, drinking a couple of beers, and talking to Tatoosh while the rest of the world is going about their normal business.
@Butch: I know she is a working mom with three kids and she could have been perfectly normal until she had that third kid and suffered a little PPM. Then some doctor thought he could help her with a psycho med and she, being an upstanding member of society, believes in doctors and their medications. So she takes that med and happens to be one of those people who get the side effects and has a little psychotic break and ends up down by the river in her pajamas with no shoes.

Hey crazy old man. This is a working mom with 3 kids . The community shows much more concern for a vulnerable person in her situation.
When it’s your time, I really doubt a deputy will even do a drive by. If I saw you floating past my boat, I would just turn around and fish off the other side.

As a second thought, the doctors probably put this lady on some psychiatric meds for her PPD and the medications led to her psychotic break on her last day. Most of those meds have black box warnings that they may cause suicide.
Nearly all of the mass shooters including Newtown, Charleston, and Roseburg were a result of the side effects of these “medications”.
Too bad. She obviously had some type of breakdown which led to her bizarre behavior. Hopefully she didn’t take her own life.
That said, would the sheriff be putting his whole detective squad on this if she wasn’t a blue eyed blond member of the privileged class? Let’s say it was a crazy old man like me that they suspected of being in the river. They probably would send out one deputy for a quick check and then wait for the body to show up.
Those guys will be tripping over themselves when they should be working on their existing caseload.
