CENTRALIA DOMESTIC DISPUTE: ‘AND THE FIGHT WAS ON’

• A 71-year-old Centralia wife who allegedly threw hot coffee on a police officer and punched a second officer in the face was jailed yesterday following a morning response to an apartment building on the 700 block of South Tower Avenue. Officers were called about 11:10 a.m. because she had locked her husband out of the home and they were assisting him in getting back inside, according to the Centralia Police Department. When one officer put his arm through an opening in the kitchen window to reach the latch on the door, Dorothy A. Diacon grabbed his arm, which he pulled back out, police said. Then she tossed coffee through the window onto the officer, prompting another officer to kick open the front door, according to Sgt. Kurt Reichert. The woman allegedly punched and slapped the second officer, and she was punched back, Reichert said. “The wresting match was on; she was Tasered, with a ‘drive stun’, not the probes,” Reichert said. Diacon, who he described as medium height and more than 200 pounds, was taken into custody, arrested for two counts of third-degree assault, he said. She was booked into the Lewis County Jail and is scheduled to go before a judge this afternoon.

DISPUTE TURNS FELONIOUS IN CHEHALIS

• A 19-year-old Chehalis man was arrested yesterday following a fight with his 17-year-old pregnant girlfriend in which he allegedly threw her down and wouldn’t let her leave a bedroom or their apartment. Officers called around 3:20 p.m. about the incident at the 600 block of Southeast Dobson Court were told the young woman hit him to get away and went to a family member to call 911, according to the Chehalis Police Department. Andres F. Santiago was booked into the Lewis County Jail for unlawful imprisonment, according to police. Exactly how long she was prevented from leaving their home beforehand wasn’t clear, but detective Sgt. Gary Wilson said he didn’t believe it amounted to hours. She wasn’t injured but was medically examined because of the pregnancy involved, Wilson said. Santiago is being released from jail with no charges filed pending further investigation.

BURGLARY CHEHALIS

• Someone broke into a home on the 600 block of Coal Creek Road outside Chehalis yesterday and made off with a camera, a laptop computer, jewelry and various other property, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. A deputy called late yesterday afternoon learned the burglary occurred during the daylight hours, according to the sheriff’s office. Chief Criminal Deputy Gene Seiber said the loss from the stolen property and damage was about $2,000.

DRUGS

• A 24-year-old Toledo resident was arrested for possession of opiates following a traffic stop on Prairie Road in Chehalis yesterday, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. Alex A. Schon was a passenger in the vehicle and was booked into the Lewis County Jail, Chief Criminal Deputy Gene Seiber said.

AND MORE

• And as usual, other incidents such as arrests for warrants, misdemeanor domestic assault; responses for alarms; complaints of a drunk on a bicycle in someone else’s yard, canine chasing an individual and his dog while out on a walk, someone shooting birds at the Chehalis-Centralia Airport, a driverless semi truck idling in the middle of South Market Boulevard … and more.

I think Domino got perma fried smoking her oxys, then tried to sleep with half the police in Centralia but only one would take her bait then dumped her. That’s why she’s so mad.

Yes the Police State. I was handcuffed and choked for recording my traffic stop here in Centralia.”

I’d like to publicly congratulate you on your restraint. It’s been some time since you’ve turned a otherwise normal story into one about you. Keep up the good work. Going cold turkey is tough!

  3. The Dirty Cop Enforcer says:

Yes the Police State. I was handcuffed and choked for recording my traffic stop here in Centralia. You- Tube is filled with thousands of videos of officers attacking people. The Department of justice just busted This police department here for the use of excessive force http://www.latimes.com/nation/nationnow/la-na-nn-albuquerque-police-deadly-force-20140410,0,2405108.story#axzz2yWASZtO5
People quit sticking up for dirty cops eventually it will be you or a family member that is attacked or slain by a Dirty Cop. If you see a dirty cop in Action Film them, but keep your distance you can be attacked or even killed for filming these Jack Booted Thugs.

  4. Dominoe says:

The bottom line?.. what the police did was despicable. I bet that woman’s husband regrets calling them and never will again. Lesson learned. Involving cops makes everything worse.

  5. Dominoe says:

This got so funny so fast

  6. ron green says:

    Dominoe.
“brainwashed bootlicker” huh, never thought of myself that way. I am guilty of respecting authority. I think that a 71 year old person ought to know enough to stop fighting when the cops show up. Hell, at that age you ought to be able to settle you differences without the police being involved period. And yes, you run from the police, brandish a knife you take a chance of getting shot. Just the same as you take that chance of getting punched or tazed if you throw hot liquid on the cop. The guy has a job to do, have some respect. What’s to resist here, she was in the wrong, breaking the law. Nope, your not alone, America should be free, but with freedom comes respect and responsibility. Maybe instead of looking at the police like your enemy, which they’re clearly not you could try another approach. After all, if your ever in an accident, have to be rescued or need aid, chances are a cop will be your first point of contact. Just Saying….

Are we all even reading the same artical? Where does it say that the police broke a window? How were civil rights violated? The most sensable thing that has been written here is “Maybe the punch was a little overboard, but not much when you consider how violent this woman was.”. I wasnt there I dont know what really happened but I still think a police officer should be able to subdue a 71yr old lady, even if she was 200+ pounds without tazing or punching. Am I wrong?

@ron green. Brainwashed boot lickers like you…”

So once again rather than engage the reader with a logical presentation of facts to support their position they resort to the lowest possible form of debate, (name calling and the use of colorful metaphors), then have the audacity to act surprised when their hate inspired rant is not accepted with applaud.

And, no, I do not expect that to change anytime soon.

  9. I left says:

Sometimes the nonsense uttered by you anarchists just starts to go beyond unreal. Maybe the punch was a little overboard, but not much when you consider how violent this woman was.

  10. Uintah says:

One has to agree with Dominoe. If my spouse and I were having a spat, I would be frightened and terrified is s/he involved the police and the police broke my window and entered my home. But then Dominoe breaks into a disgusting rant, the kind of heartless mindless garbage that typified the very historical groups s/he alludes to. If Dominoe were my partner, I’d sic the police on him or her in a minute.

  11. BleeBloo says:

Sounds to me like the cop instigated the assault by sticking his arm through the window, this is entry without cause, her civil rights were violated no matter what happened afterwards.

  12. Dominoe says:

@ron green. Brainwashed boot lickers like you are the whole problem with the police today. You applaud them for things like shooting a cornered man half a dozen times because he “had a knife”, and pat them on the back for assaulting a grandmother. Do you know what happens when the people blindly accept authority without question or resistance? Nazi Germany, you ignoramus. Just because you will walk smiling into the gas chamber, doesn’t give you the right to criticize those who can still think for themselves. Maybe you think you need the police but I sure as hell don’t. You might change your tune when it’s you or your grandma they punch and taze. I guess I’m one of the few left out here who still think America should be free. If you don’t see the blatant daily evidence of the police state I feel sorry for you. I’m sure you will be one of the first to surrender your freedoms and be happy about it.

  13. beenthere says:

The domestic violence laws are such that a person can not kick a domestic partner out of the house with out a court order. The wife had no legal basis or right to lock the husband out, so the police were helping him get back inside. During an attempt to unlock the door the wife assaulted an officer, which gave them a right to kick in the door to make an arrest. They did not just break into the home but even if they had, they probably could have since they were helping the husband and he can give them permission to kick the door in. But after the officer was assaulted he no longer needed permission. The problem I have with this story is the punching and tazing. I would think that an officer would have enough training and would be strong enough to subdue a 71yr old women without needing to taze or punch her. If an officer cant take controll of a 71yr old lady then maybe he should be retrained or look for a new job.

  14. Make More Sense says:

If only a few cops are “bad cops”, then why don’t the ‘good cops’ arrest them?

  15. ron green says:

Dominoe, what world are you living in? Police State? what would you have done, let the old guy stay outside? stand by and do nothing? The police had every right to stop her from resisting and to end the situation before it escalated. I am just glad to hear that Granny didn’t pull a gun on the cop, they would have been left with very few options then….

  16. Dominoe says:

So the cops got in the middle of an argument between an old married couple, tried to break into their home, then DID break into their home, then punched and tazed a 71 year old woman, then arrested HER for assault. ….Am I the only who sees a problem here? This police state makes me sick. I hope they feel tough enough now. I’m glad THIS is what our tax dollars go to pay for. Barf
