Centralia police were called to the parking lot at Jack-in-the-Box last night where an individual was found dead inside a vehicle.
Officers responding about 10:40 p.m. to the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue learned the four-door passenger car had been parked there for a couple of days, according to the Centralia Police Department.
Foul play is not suspected, but police are investigating, according to Sgt. Stacy Denham.
The deceased is described only as a male; police know who he is, Denham said.
“There were no signs of a struggle, and he appeared to have just been taking a nap and passed,” Denham said.
An autopsy is expected.

Note to self:
If i ever need a place to sleep for a couple days, Centralia Jack in the Box parking lot is the best place to crash.
The people there will literally let you sleep like the dead!!
It’s a small parking lot. I’m kinda curious as to how/why a car sat there for two days without being checked on… My sympathies for the family.
Maybe employees too busy helping customers to notice dead body..they are inside of store more then out ..it is a sad situation…people sit in their cars to eat too, maybe they thought he was doing..never know none of us were there
@Larry Butler Fan – Who the hell even suggested that it’s “okay to sleep or be dead in a Jack in the Box parking lot for two days?” – maybe you got your meds mixed up.
Oh, cut Larry some slack. Having a cop in trouble on the front page of the papers is more of a rush than he can control. I’m sure this is only the beginning for him. From here on out every storyline to cross this site will get bent into somehow having something to do with a DUI and a drunken cop behind every corner.
I’ll say it again. Two DUI citations on cops from lewis county do not equal a corrupt justice system. Were our local justice system just a tenth as bad as claimed by dave and others these DUI’s would have never come to light. That it happened only proves two points. Anyone who drinks and drives can get arrested, and even when they are cops the system still holds them accountable.
Larry Butler Fan, sometimes it’s better to say nothing at all!! It is not LE’s job to patrol parking lots. Probably an employee found this and called LE. Someone died!!! Have some respect for the passing of a life!! It isn’t about drinking cops, so sorry for the family and friends of the deceased!! 🙁
This goes to show that Centralia cops don’t eat Jack in the Box. I see this as a good thing. Don’t you?
Larry Butler Fan, one would think an employee would have checked the car after it sitting for so long. Or have called the police UPON the discovery of a body in there. Since when is it LE’s officers to “patrol” parking lots??? Pretty petty comments. Someone died. Doesn’t matter how, or about “drinking cops”. Have some respect for yourself, and don’t make rude comments. Sometimes it’s better to say nothing at all if your just out to cause trouble. My condolences to family and friends of the un named deceased. Peace be with you. Sad!
I mean, you don’t try and bribe a fellow officer unless you have the your boss in your back pocket.
Oops, did i just say that?
Doesn’t anyone patrol that area, or are they too busy gettin’ boozed up with their buddies?
Since when is it okay to sleep or be dead in a Jack in the Box parking lot for two days?
There a lot of things that could have happend. Health problems to mention one. We will know in time. I just pray it wasnt a stupid mistake like over dose or alcohol
Poisoning.
