Three times he’s been found guilty; three times the conviction has been thrown out.

The Washington State Supreme Court heard arguments yesterday about the case of Kenneth L. Slert, who back in October 2000 fatally shot  53-year-old John Benson at a campsite near Ashford.

Slert claimed self defense.

The question is: Did dismissal of four potential jurors for answers to a jury questionnaire violate defendant’s right to public trial?

  1. GuiltyBystander says:

What do you mean by saying “you all?” Nobody had commented on this story in almost two months since its posting until you chimed in. Hearing voices?

  2. Samantha Cavanaugh says:

The thing claims self defense is complete so untrue. John Benson would give the shirt of his back. I had the great pleasure of knowing this fine gentleman and I mean gentleman. John was a hunter for years and would never hurt anyone. If it was self defense why would you hide for hours and then flee all the way to the east coast if you were not guilty so you all do the math and get your own opionin on this but take from me the sob DOES NOT DESERVE ANY MORE BULLS**T AND LET THIS ALL REST AND GIVE THE FAMILY AND FREINDS OF JOHN BENSON PEACE.
