The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help finding a man who didn’t return to jail from a one-day furlough.
Chief Civil Deputy Stacy Brown indicated yesterday in a news release that Kevon L. Tracy, 41, of Chehalis, is supposed to be in custody in connection with an attempted first-degree malicious mischief. There are also pending charges of violation of a protection order, according to Brown.
Deputies have been to several locations in Lewis County looking for him, according to Brown.
He is described as a white male who is 5-feet 10-inches tall, weighing 175 pounds with blue eyes and grayish-brown hair with a receding hairline.
Brown asks anyone with information on his whereabouts to call 360-748-9286 or Lewis County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-748 6422.

Well at least he is in custody now and did not hurt anyone.
His gf lives in my building, the LCSO raided the place looking for him.
How can he be AWOL (absent without Leave)? That is a term used for a person missing from duty. Since when does a judge get to let someone out for ‘Liberty’ when they are a criminal? The whole idea is to make being a criminal uncomfortable, thereby fulfilling the goal that we have fewer criminals. It is high time judges be fined for their foolishness. Only weatherman, brain surgeons and judges can totally screw up daily and still have a job.
He was also released so that he could put his things in storage.
What a tool shed. And that’s just an opinion on the judges decision
This guy had been in custody since last December for the charges and was just sentenced to 32 months in prison. He pulled the same disappearance act once before, AWOL for two years I heard. The judge must be an idiot.
DAM KEVON! Are you ever gonna learn??? Lol!
A person can not get a anti harassment order on someone because they are filing false charges on them, but they let a man out of jail for a day to find a place to live when he gets out. I believe that the judge should have charges brought on him. They wont even hardly let a person out of jail for a family funeral but let him out for a day for this. Hope he goes to McDonalds and has a happy meal while he is out…
Maybe he was doing “weekend jail”?
Why is this called AWOL and not escape? And since when does jail give a day off?
