“They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

We cannot abdicate our responsibility for watchfulness over those whom we charge with authority.

Soaper, that is funny as hell that someone who picked a name like “BahlsDeep” is slamming your name!
I think the last comment I made on this site was when “BahlsDeep” first emerged here. Like now, he made a real lame comment at that time also!
And now, here he still is, same name, same type of comment, except he really outdid himself on this one!
“Soaper……Hmmmm. I’m guessing your user name came from your stint in prison.”
So “BahlsDeep”, what is your reasoning for your name?
“Bahlsdeep” where? Sounds like you may have been the one in prison! Your a lame ass!

So BahlsDeep, how did you come up with your name? Im not even gonna

Soaper – I agree with your assessment of bad apples, but I do not agree that law enforcement is the last I would call if help is needed. Fortunately, I have not had a bad experience with law enforcement, though I do know of others who have. I have seen how something gets blown out of proportion and ultimately culminates in something ridiculous for the “supposed” offender.

For me, it seems if a person is law abiding and respectful, that too is what you will receive in return… and by respectful, I mean respectful to all fellow citizens and mankind. We as a people need to be able to cast out those who abuse their powers… in all professions. We allow too many powers to “the establishment.” One need only read the full text of everything on the current ballot to realize how out of control everything is. In some cases, even the full text of the issue does not give the people enough information to understand what the heck a for for or against vote really means.

So discouraged with all things political. The beast runs rampant.

MorningCoffee, maybe the reason there are a lot of “law enforcement hate mongers” out there is because there is a real legitimate problem going on. I can tell you that I have always been considered a friendly, polite, and respectful person by those who have known me since school through adulthood. If I see somebody in need of help I will do what I can to help. I can’t say I’ve done anything heroic, but little things like helping somebody push their car who is out of gas and maybe helping them buy gas if they are broke, or giving somebody a ride if it is cold and wet out, always hold doors open for people, and just being respectful in general. Also, believe it or not, I don’t have a criminal record. I am an honest person who certainly is not seeking attention by pointing out that there are a handful of local cops who are dishonest and abuse their authority regularly. They use intimidation and violate our civil rights as standard procedure.

All professions have their bad apples, but a bad cop is so much more dangerous than a bad chef or bad secretary. They have the power to easily ruin lives without having to worry much because the people who are victims of it are immediately considered criminals and their argument is thus null and void. After all, who are most people going to believe….a cop or the accused? This forum provides a classic example of that mentality daily. I never wanted to not trust the police or fear them. I have relatives who are/have been police. I consider everybody good until they prove otherwise. Sadly there is an element in local L.E. who has proven just that. I certainly don’t mean all cops. Or even half. Or even half that, but now we are getting in the ballpark. One day you’ll realize it.

Also MorningCoffee, believe me if I ever need help the police are the last people I would look to for it.

    Finally…

    Oh the irony.

  6. Morning Coffe please explain how the police protect you…..The fact is they just take reports most of the time. The crime has usualy already been committed in 90% of the cases…..So how do the police protect us again?….It is your job to protect yourself, not the cops… They will even tell you that….. But I Guess calling the police is Trendy for all the Fluoride heads in Centralia!

  7. MorningCoffee says:

Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think there were so many law enforcement hate mongers amongst us. Maybe you should all just move on out to Tenino or some other community that cannot afford to provide law enforcement. I’m sure you’ll be the first ones to whine and cry about not having any protection when you need it then.

  8. Soaper says:

Hopefully Centralia follows suit. Or at least does a major overhaul and gets rid of a few particular ones who seem to think its still the Wild West or have watched Dirty Haggardy too many times. Who hired some of these guys?

Strawn is a sham. He has certainly run that place into the ground!
