The (Vancouver) Columbian published a story about a Longview couple convicted yesterday for nearly starving their 13-year-old adopted son to death and withholding food from their other children.
The boy weighed only 49 pounds – about half the expected weight of a normal 13-year-old, according to the account.

I just looked at a ballot online and I did not see a place for Superior court judges , just Supreme so I may be wrong . They maybe appointed for life and that really sucks for Clark co. Oh well there must be some way to protest them or some channel of recourse guess I should have checked before spouting off. This story just burns my lunch . We had a similar thing here and I see one of those children (shes a runner) go by my house and she is very small and ,my Grandkids told me she will never grow and thats her own Mom who did it to her , they called it insanity , seems to me the definition of these monsters probably does not give these children any comfort or justice.
I know this is not a Lewis co. Judge but to you folks in Clark Co. you find out who he was . I just filled out and mailed my ballot and his name should be on your ballot . You can take steps to vote him out because I do believe I saw Superior court judges on that Ballot for my county. That is how you get rid of a judge who isn’t smart enough to tell the difference in malice and innocence. Malice is exactly what this whole case is about. That excuse they gave about flu and obesity problems is just lawyer talk. So you vote those types of judges out, that is the only way to do it. Starving him would be fun, but on my part it would be revenge , and oh yea malice, lots of malice !!!
Let’s remember that judges are merely lawyers wearing robes, and we all know what great human beings lawyers can be.
If making a kid drink his own urine because he peed in a cup because he wasn’t allowed to use the bathroom at night isn’t malice, I would hate to see what this judge thinks is an act of evil intentions towards the kid.
If making a kid stand on the front porch in the cold and throwing cold water on the kid if he cries about it isn’t malice, I would hate to see what this judge thinks is an act of evil intentions towards the kid.
This judge needs to be treated the exact same way as these poor children, and see how HE likes it. I guarantee you, he would definitely change his tune. Unless, of course, he is one of those people who has always struggled with a weight problem….
They should deprive these assholes of food and make them drink their own piss and see how they like it. It is a terrible tragedy for these kids, like wtf says, who already don’t have loving, protective parents. Then they get adopted by these abusive shitheaps and have to endure torture. It says they won’t ever grow properly, so they get that constant reminder for the rest of their lives. Life can be so unfair.
I cant believe the judge!!!! no malice, wtf their biological kids were well fed, and he had to drink his own urine!!! I dont know how he can say they acted with no malice. 4 to 5 yrs isnt enough time for them! and maybe the judge should be changed for this case!!!
That’s what I said what the hell is there problem. Poor kids have no parents then they treat these little kids like this wtf!!!!!!!
And of course the couple is overweight. What sick, selfish, people.
