The Centralia Police Department’s SWAT team visited an apartment on the 700 block of South Tower Avenue last night, arresting two people following a several-week long investigation into drug dealing.
A search warrant was served about 7:15 p.m., according to Officer John Panco.
“It was basically uneventful,” Panco said. “Nobody was hurt, nobody resisted.”
Michael A. Kellogg, 40, of Centralia, was arrested and booked for two counts of delivery of methamphetamine, as well as one count of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, according to Panco.
Alyssa A. Bowman, 24, also of Centralia, was arrested and booked for possession of methamphetamine, he said.
Panco said he didn’t know the amount of drugs found at at the residence, but said both individuals had drugs “on their person.”
The arrests were the culmination of an investigation by the police department’s anti-crime team, he said.
Update: Kellogg was charged this afternoon in Lewis County Superior Court with selling heroin, not methamphetamine. A spokesperson for the Centralia Police Department said he may have misunderstood what drug was at issue.
However, Kellogg was also charged with possession of heroin and possession of methamphetamine. His bail was set at $20,000.
Also, a woman arrested by Centralia police on Monday, Jinney S. Unger, was charged today with three counts of delivery of heroin, plus possession of heroin and meth.
Police said the cases are unrelated.

I didn’t have any drugs on my person. 7 Camels, few lighters, and twelve dollars. I plead guilty because there was a snitch involved and the discovery presented to me by my lawyer didn’t make any sense. It was abundantly clear he was going to be of no help and I wanted to get out of prison add soon as possible hoping my wife wouldn’t leave. The reason they used a SWAT team to apprehend me in their investigation is because I was watch standing duty member of a USN Spec War command. They aren’t special. I am. The truth about the circumstances in this case are a matter of aspect. I can assure you all the information presented in this matter is skewed to suit the needs of CPDs fantasys. I know not to victimize other people and I won’t, the only victimI I would have is myself.
Sounds like anon knows just as much about the situation as the ones who got arrested. I’ suggest getting off the shit too and you might realize how stupid you sound as well 🙂
“The arrests were the culmination of an investigation by the police department’s anti-crime team, he said.”
Shouldnt the whole police force be anti-crime?? Once again a stellar article with police talking out their behinds. What do the other police do that arnt on the anti-crime team? Id hope when police took their oath they would all be anti-crime. Sheesh. Sounds like selective enforcement to me.
“Michael A. Kellogg, 40, of Centralia, was arrested and booked for two counts of delivery of methamphetamine, as well as one count of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, according to Panco.”
That means he had two bags and a scale.
“Panco said he didn’t know the amount of drugs found at at the residence” Why not? Because these people are low level dealers; pretty much a waste of time AND resources. How about hitting high to mid-level distributors? Is the police force scared or on the dole?
“It was basically uneventful,” Panco said. “Nobody was hurt, nobody resisted.” Sounds like he was disappointed by the lack of taser use and excessive force.
The boy scouts could do a better job without a search warrant. Thank you for not killing anyone and the Police dept should have a PR adviser. Sloppy press releases and lack of real policing show the veil of accountability between police/public and desperation to show that they are making a difference?!? Embarrassing.
Two more cases for drug court!!! They will probably get their charges reduced or dismissed before then anyways….
