Three people were killed in a single-vehicle collision west of Oakville this evening.
Firefighters were called about 5 p.m. to the 400 block of Brooklyn Road, six or so miles southwest of Oakville, according to Grays Harbor Fire District 1.
There were two men and two women in a small pickup truck which ran into some trees, Fire Capt. Ryan Graham said.
Firefighters from District 1 as well as Riverside Fire Authority used the Jaws of Life to extricate the adult female who survived, Graham said. She was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office is investigating, he said.

My heart goes out to all in every family. They were all wonderful people who contributed to society. For those to say ETOH was involves is a little premature. They were possibly carrying beer with them and had not had a drink. Please give the family remaining some respect and let them bury their loved ones in peace. This has affected many people who loved and cared about those lost. I am impressed by the kind comments people have left. We’ve all been there and and are lucky to be alive, if ETOH was actually involved. My heart and love goes out to all.
Why do people drink and drive, so sad for the family left behind. But grateful there were no others involved in the accident.
Oh linda, my heartfelt prayers go to you and your family.. I am so so so sorry…
thank you for your sympathy: my cousin was in the truck.
I feel sadness for all involved. My heart is heavy for the family and rescuers alike. Never the way anyone wants to end a year or begin a new one.
please be careful people! there are lots of people ringing in the new year, but when this happens, they will never see the new year. i pray the woman survives and she doesnt have any lasting damage.
