Decker<br \/>\nLewis County Sirens news reporter<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nThe National Weather Service has cancelled the flood watch, according to Lewis County Emergency Management.<\/p>\n<p>Heavy rains mid-week prompted the watch, in particular on waterways running off the Cascade Mountains. The Cowlitz River crested two feet below flood stage, according to Emergency Management.<\/p>\n<p>March ended with the second highest rainfall in Lewis County since 1890 &#8211; recorded at 9.93 inches, according to a news release.<\/p>\n<p>Forecasts are for modest showers through the weekend.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Sharyn\u00a0 L.
