THEFT

• The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office reported this morning they investigated a break-in to a fifth-wheel trailer at Cascade Peaks RV Park in Randle in which about $2,500 of valuables were taken. The 57-year-old victim said she returned and found an entry door window damaged and several items missing, such as a 36-inch Toshiba flat screen television, a Sony camcorder, a Dell laptop computer, a Dish Network satellite, clothing, bedding and food. The report was taken on Saturday.

• A deputy was called yesterday to the 400 block of Conrad Road in Winlock when someone discovered a burglary to a neighbor’s shed. A weed eater had been stolen, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

• Chehalis police were called yesterday to a residence on Northwest Rhode Island Place about a burglary that had occurred sometime within the previous week.

BOY BIT IN FACE BY DOG

• A 6-year-old Chehalis boy was hospitalized after getting bit on the face yesterday by a neighbor’s dog. A deputy called about 9 p.m. last night to the 1600 block of Bishop Road in Chehalis was told when the child went into the neighbor’s house the dog lunged at him, leaving one inch lacerations on both sides of his mouth, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.
