Sharyn’s Sirens: Daily police and fire roundup

VANDALISM

• Centralia police were called yesterday to a report of several mailboxes damaged sometime during the night on the 1600 block of Military Road.

• Somebody slashed tires on a vehicle at the 700 block of North Pearl Street in Centralia, according to a report made to police yesterday morning.

THEFT

• Chehalis police said yesterday a subject attempting to steal a boat motor on Southwest Cascade Avenue was confronted by a neighbor and then fled on his bicycle. It happened about 11 p.m. on Thursday night, according to Police Chief Glenn Schaffer.

• Chehalis police took a report on Wednesday of a residential burglary on South Market Boulevard. Missing were a phone, prescriptions, clothing and other items, according to the Chehalis Police Department.
