CAR PROWLER CAUGHT ON CAMERA
• Chehalis police called to the Wal-Mart parking lot at about 2:25 p.m. yesterday about a vehicle prowl were able to obtain security camera video which showed an individual from an older Jeep Cherokee breaking out the window of a Ford pickup truck. A nylon briefcase was taken from the truck, sometime within the hour before the call, according to Deputy Police Chief Randy Kaut.
THEFT FROM STORAGE UNIT
• Somebody broke into a storage unit on Northeast Kresky Avenue in Chehalis and removed a trailer carrying a riding lawn mower, a push mower and a chain saw, according to the Chehalis Police Department. The officer called at 1:20 p.m. was told by the victim they believed a couple of other units had recently been burglarized, Deputy Police Chief Randy Kaut said this morning. Police don’t know how the individual got into the gated compound, he said.
RED TRAIL BIKE STOLEN
• Centralia police were called just after 5 p.m. last evening about a motorcycle stolen from the 800 block of J Street. The red trail bike-style Honda 250 has a vehicle identification number of JH2ME10397M305509, according to the Centralia Police Department.
TWO ARRESTS FOR SECOND DEGREE THEFT
• Centralia police reported they arrested two Bellingham residents near the Outlet Malls last night for second degree theft. The 8:20 p.m. and 9:20 p.m. incidents involved Bernita L. Madera, 28, and Rolondo L. Clizbe, 33, according to the Centralia Police Department. Madera was also booked for felony harassment, police reported. Further details were not readily available.
