THREAT
• Chehalis police were called yesterday afternoon after a man allegedly told a collection agency employee he was going to burn down their building. He was contacted but not arrested, according to the Chehalis Police Department.
THEFT
• A 46-year-old Centralia woman was arrested for trafficking in stolen property yesterday evening after officers concluded she sold somebody else’s bicycle to a business on Tower Avenue in Centralia. Jinney Unger was booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Centralia Police Department.
• A 38-year-old man was arrested for misdemeanor theft yesterday afternoon after his image was recognized on a video of a security camera stolen from a building on the 500 block of North Tower Avenue in Centralia. Michael Kauer of Centralia was booked into the Lewis County Jail for third-degree theft, according to the Centralia Police Department.
VANDALISM
• Centralia police were called about 10:30 a.m. yesterday to the 2800 block of Russell Road in Centralia where someone had cut the convertible top and a tire on a vehicle.
NOT AN ATTEMPTED LURING
• Police were called on Monday after a 9-year-old child told their parent two males offered the child candy near a school bus stop in Chehalis. Police said a detective happened to be in the area when it occurred and found the candy-offerers were teenagers who were joking and messing around, according to the Chehalis Police Department.
